I dont dislike the man,, he has the odd good game.....but in the most part he's brings the level of our team down two notches,in style a performance, nearly everytime he plays.

He didn't make enough of the opportunity he made for himself, but the control there was outstanding. People just ignore moments like that though because it doesn't fit with their preconceptions.

Yeah, and that's thanks to Crouch....

We're up there, we're also yet to play Arsenal, Chelsea and MAn United this season. We've also been very inconsistent, with a relativly easy start, you need to pull the wool from your eyes. Liverpools plight couldn't not be more irrelevant to us.

Our severe lack of goals isn't helped by Crouch, he is as likely to score as Heskey was for England. I have certainly argued elsewhere in the past that a knockdown or two wasn't enough for Heskey to warrant a place and if I am being consitent, the same thing applies to Crouch now.

We can't rely on our midfielders doing the majority of the scoring, our forwards have to do a fair share and at least as far as the league games go, Crouch just isn't cutting it. While it may not be his fault, today far too many hoofed up balls to him were made, with hardly anything resulting from this, it was not pretty football.

Defoe can't get fit soon enough, but until then Pav or Keane should get some starts, Crouch can't get away with a lack of goals forever, in both the game against Inter and today he missed good chances.

Saying that, we should have had a penalty today when he was clearly nudged into an Everton player, with the FK actually going against him, refs never seem to treat him well and let defenders foul him.

Crouch isn't a striker and I think that's why people hate him...he cannot shoot...he hits it about half a mile an hour, he can't head, he heads straight at goal keepers...even the one against city last year was straight at the keeper, the keeper flapped and we got lucky.

As a hold up man though, he's outstanding, we just need to get that incredible striker (defoe?) playing well with him and then he's a big asset

So what?? What has that got to do with anything? Have we already lost to them in your eyes? Im my eyes we havent played them yet and have a great chance of beating them. If we dont we dont. I talk about that when it happens. At the moment after what you call an indifferent start we are in third place. We have a number of key first team players out. So in my eyes we are going to improve not get worse. I hate it when we are in the top four and we arent playing well.
