Brighton and Everton’s best player, no problem. A loan from a cash strapped giant for an unwanted CB and a young RWB from the Championship who is not wanted by his club, big problems - very Spursy this.

Do you seriously not see the irony in this post?

What players would you rather have than these players?

Didn’t realise we had a hotel when I read he stayed - just assumed he slept under a desk like the divorce was dragging on.

Yeah, I saw this today, de Jong is owed something approaching €17m in deferred wages, and until it’s resolved won’t accept a move.

I find the whole deferred wages intriguing - regardless of whether the player moves or not - it is still to be paid. I cant imagine a player signing something that says if they move they wont be paid it. Barcelona dont have a leg to stand on regardless if Lenglet or anyone moves - theyre still owed it as they had 'worked' for that regardless.

Not sure if Barcelona are wanting to only pay a percentage of that I dont know. What is also funny is Barcelona spending on players rather than pay their own players. If I was Lenglet or De Jong id be furious

Blimey, let's just see how the whole window pans out before using stupid terms like "spursy".
We're filling gaps in the squad with players who specialise in those positions. They may not all be big money, marquee signings but that's not necessarily what we need.
We only have a finite budget.

Still a long way in this window to go yet, so chill your boots for a while at least.

I agree that some deals have seemed easy breezy and others are so contracted. And not what you might have expected. Fingers crossed the rest go easy breezy ?
