Fair enough. Writings on the wall. I still personally think what he said was not particularly wrong. Clearly our players are paid materially below what other top players are getting. And clearly our transfer window whilst decent could have been a lot better in terms of adding a bit more attacking guile - and I don't think he was completely alone there

That said how he said it, when he said and to whom as well as his dig at the fans all came across as dreadfully bad and ruined all the goodwill he had built up

But Poch has talked about second chances, people making mistakes and reacting to injury badly etc which I do also think is true. People make mistakes - clearly I have no idea if bridges have been built since this happened

But Would hope for pragmatic reasons alone he is integrated back and given another chance as was becoming a fantastic player pre injury

Everyone gives all the players Fergie fell out with and sold as examples but Rooney disrespected Utd and stayed for a long time after as was clear there was more value in keeping him - for me I see the same with Rose

You are assuming the interview pre season was an isolated incident, from what I hear it's not.

Yes and no. Depends on how far out line he has stepped out of line. This was clearly the most public thing although he did a previews with that LBC interview at the start of the summer.

Just think We have a £50m asset on our hands and a close to world class LB that in the team adds a lot and would be frustrating to see him at another Manchester club

I think if we have Aurier and Davies on the pitch we'll be fine in that respect.

Agree. And if Poch realises that Llorente will win the majority of aerial duels and can help break down 'park the bus teams' then Trippier's crossing from deeper will be another major weapon

Without Walker and Rose we lose our width and penetration. Davies is decent, but Trippier rarely gets beyond his man in the manner Walker did. Against teams who sit deep, you need that drive from wing backs to get in behind them.
People seem to forget how much Rose and Walker were part of our attacking philosophy last season and that they were the main reason we cut teams apart, apart from their attacking abilities they also pulled players out from the middle to double up on them !

Jose fonte on MOTD extra.Saying Luke shaw was like a son to poch.Swap plus cash is realistic possibility imo.Getting a player 5 years younger who was miles ahead of Rose at same age.If his fitness is fine and it’s just attitude.Poch Woukd sort him out.Could be some very clever business.

Shaw's injury record is catastrophic and players seldom recover to anything like their best. I think we'll go all out for Sessegnon if we decide to sell Rose.

Not entirely true.

Luke Shaw now and Luke Shaw under Poch is a completely different player. The only question about him is the injury.

You know he will be fully committed at least, so if we believe he can reach his previous levels then i'd rather have him than Rose if Danny boy is causing a bad smell in the dressing room.

Providing Shaw can prove his fitness as I said i'd take him and £30m for Rose. Use the money to get Barkley.

No he wasn't. The point is that he didn't have to use pace or get to the byline to put a cross in, neither does trips.
I take your point, but a big advantage of Rose and Walker for our style is them pushing the opponents back; Beckham didn't really do that.

As i said neither does tripps.

Not knocking walker or rose (can't wait to have him back). Just saying that tripps plays different to walker.

The original statement was that you need drive and penetration to get behind the fulbacks. In my opinion that is not necessarily true.

Would i prefer walker to tripps? Yes probably, but he's gone. Just hope that aurier can be as good if not better.

What we miss with the Rose and Walker combo is the drive to stretch teams and the dynamism they offer on the wings, this would in turn open up so much spaces for the likes of Eriksen and Alli...case in point the 2-0 win over Chelsea last season, the 2nd goal where Walker sprinted at the Chelsea defence and it pushed them back 5 yards, he passed it inside and Eriksen had all the time in the world to pick out Alli.

i have been firmly in the camp of the collective, building steadily and far prefer that to being owned by a human rights abusing country or the del boy of the oligarch world.....that being said, I wish that we had a few extra reddies to keep someone like Danny onside simply because of the value he provides to us and, if sold, would provide to our opponent.
Minimally, we should keep him until next summer, make sure all the other major talent is signed up and make a few astute signings before selling him....Barkley, Sancho, Sessegnon as in's would give the place a summer lift.

according to the inj room Rose is back in 5 days

Would be great to have him back on the bench for Liverpool but realistically after all, the shit in the summer, I can't see Poch giving him his first run out at home in case there is a backlash.
