He's not up there in terms of goals which nobody can deny.
But do you watch every minute of every game in the EPL?
How can you possibly judge every AM passing if you don't see every game they play?
You can't you have to rely on the statistical information provided.
We're talking 1500 passes a season to put that in to context.
I'm not saying he's a better player than X player.
I'm saying his passing is not as bad as some make out.
By the way, he wasnt the worst player on the pitch on Saturday.
Firstly he was by far the worst player on the pitch on saturday in my eyes, that's why he was hauled off so early (not nearly early enough actually considering how terrible he was playing)
I can judge him on what I've seen from him in a Spurs shirt - for the most part his passing has been awful. Top AM's in the league consistently produce good passes, keep their teams ticking and creating chances
Lamela has created a handful of chances with a small handful of nice through balls (mostly in games where little to no pressure was placed on him i.e. against QPR)
I don't care what the stats say - common sense says he's simply not been as good passing or in any other department since he signed for us as the better AM's in the league. It's ridiculous to believe he has
He is talented for sure - but so was Soldado. What is clear to see is that he's been a terrible terrible flop for us and shows no signs of improving. I'd really like him to come good and be this big world star I expected/hoped he would be but I think even you will admit if you're honest that like Soldado its never really going to happen for him with us
If he moves back to Italy on loan I fully expect him to be as good as he was at Roma again and will probably develop into a top player - but it really isn't going to happen here any more than it was ever going to happen for Soldado. It's the best thing for him and his career to move let alone us to get such a huge flop off our books. I really hope this Inter loan happens
