I not sure why Ljajic is Lamela's replacement considering they play on different sides of the pitch and have different dominant feet.

They play similar roles though. As attacking wingers/wide forwards who are tasked with getting goals. I think it is actually fairly obvious that Ljajic is a replacement for Lamela, especially if you consider Gervinho has been brought in to play on the right anyway.

Translated:
As expected for a few days now, Erik Lamela is now officially a Tottenham player.
The former AS Roma player of 21 years old will have the difficult task of succeeding Gareth Bale, awaiting departure.
The transfer fee is estimated at nearly 35 million euros and the player salaries totaled about 4 million annual

I don't think Ljajic is the direct replacement for Lamela. Roma want Florian Thauvin from Lille, also.

I think signing Ljajic is more about getting another quality player in before selling Lamela. They needed to sign someone to appease the fans.

I have no doubt Lamela will be sold and it seems it's nearly done to us. But if it falls through someone else will likely swoop in. Please get it done!

Why is he still training with the team then?

Heh. A few people were talking about maybe playing Roma a bit and getting Ljajic in as well as Lamela. I wonder if Roma will try something similar. :D "Oh, actually, Dan, I think we'll keep Erik after all. Psyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyke!"

Not suggesting that but it would be a perfect end to a bastard week for us.

Hopefully a statement or some movement will be made tonight and we can get this by Thursday or so.

Then we'll pull the Bale deal, go after Eriksen. Simple.

For fucks sake I've done so little actual work over the last few days waiting for this and other deals to happen I think I've got a decent case to sue Levy for constructive dismissal

If only we had someone here who would phone Tottenham to see if a press conference is scheduled.....

Would mean you could get on with work after its confirmed or denied ;)
