Seems to have a fantastic attitude which is great to see, we need guys like that around the club. Good luck to the lad.

Great quote from him about being excited at seeing the spurs logo on his shirt

Hope his passion for spurs translates into excellent performances

Don't know exactly. Seems he has been a Spurs fan since we first linked to signing him. I know it from his comment here http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/kevin-wimmer-110615/

He said "When I think about home games at White Hart Lane, they will be special, with the stadium full and the atmosphere very loud, very intense. The atmosphere must be amazing on matchday. I remember watching the game against Arsenal when Tottenham won 2-1, that was fantastic. For sure, I’m looking forward to that" - I don't know exactly, the game Kevin mentioned on his comment was on February 7th, 2015 (this must be the match he watched, imo) or March 3rd, 2013.

And now, he showed a great enthusiasm to wears Lilywhite Shirt (on his twitter account), so he has been or he become a Spurs fan, that's not too important ;)

Maybe it was 1999 - Iversen and Sherwood scoring. Martin Keown and Lljunberg sent off....Then he is definitely a fan

After another bad display from Vertonghen yesterday I would really like to see Wimmer at LCB next game. He looked got in pre-season and he can't be much worse then Vertonghen in his current form.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play. Don't think Vertonghen deserves to be dropped just yet, do you mean for letting Mahrez run in? And tbh I doubt Poch would do it, I reckon he wants to see him in some Cup or El games first

Yeah, I doubt we will see Pochettino drop Vertonghen but I think Vertonghen has turned into a liability. It should had been a penalty yesterday when he brought down Mahrez, he should have done much better when it came to their goal and he is prone to making mistakes in general.

O ye forgot about the pen. I would like to see Wimmer, I just think Poch is reluctant to change too much until we get our first win. If that makes sense. I wouldn't mind seeing Wimmer come in for him, but I doubt he wants to create more instability while the fans are getting on to him

I don't get the Vertonghen love-in - he can be arrogant, lazy and prone to errors just but he knows just how good he can be when interested. Wimmer looks like a good old-school type defender which is what we need at the moment. If nothing else it would give Jan a kick up the arse to give him his chance.

I really hope he's like a Dawson / Huth hybrid. In a good way. And also see him replacing Verts whom I really like but is becoming a liability and I always imagine sees himself as better than us

I was disappointed he didn't play yesterday, I'd rather he made his debut yesterday than throwing him into a tough game such as Arsenal because of an injury to Verts or TA.

What would be the point in playing him yesterday and to break up our defensive pairing? He's just got to wait his turn and step up when called upon.
