Think it is a very difficult deal to do for anyone. Valencia cannot afford him.
Cheers Herc. Curious why if PSG want/need him gone so much they are making it so hard unless it is simply a case of he is the 'best' player they want to sell and they have to maximize what they can get out of him or face consequences. I suppose the consequence is the same is the miss by a pound or a penny so for them it's worth the gamble to hope someone pays?
They paid £38m for him so i guess they are trying to recover most of that fee which is a bit much considering hes played 6 games

Imo he will want a ‘substantial’ amount of game time at Spurs. Poch will also need to wave his magic - appeal to vanities. The complications/pursuit of Malcom also can’t help the situation.

Tottenham remain interested in signing PSG winger Lucas Moura. We are told Moura has been impressed with how Tottenham play and believes it could be the right club and right manager for him to progress his career.

Paris Saint Germain are listening to permanent offers for the winger and will deal at around £23m

Well worth the £23m but I doubt that’s the price PSG are actually asking for

35m straight cash deal or 40m and Sissoko

Agreed. As much leg work as his agents have done in drumming up interest there is no way he would not be long since sold to someone if that was all it would take.

Why are we not dealing at that price?

I can only think that the original plan was either him or Malcom and signing both would impact too much on our transfer dealings elsewhere.

Surely they want more than that though.

Think you may have answered your own question.
Most likely, but it doesn't exactly seem like a figure plucked out of thin air.

Hypothetically, does anyone think Dele, Eriksen, Son, Lamela, Sissoko (ish), Malcom, Moura is a bit overkill? Especially considering we play 3-5-2 a lot. I'm starting to think it may be down to that and the fact that it'd take £23m off our financial clout for positions that we are significantly weaker in.

Unless Poch is looking a lot at what City and Liverpool are doing with essentially 4-1-4-1 and aspires to do that as well, then you need at least 5 across the front line that can do the job but that seems very aspirational, especially when we have had so much success with the 3 atb.

Pretty sure Sissoko will be moving on ( hopefully ) and Nkoudou going too that would be Malcom & Moura taking there places.

Also could mean Llorente can go and in a even of Kane not playing we play with Son up top with 3 behind.

OGC Nice remain in touch with PSG for Lucas Moura
As reported by Yahoo Sport in recent days, OGC Nice remain in touch with PSG about the possible loan signing of Brazilian winger Lucas Moura.

Nantes are also still in the mix, with Les Parisiens desperately seeking to sell the player this month. Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the player on multiple occasions and have given PSG an indication that they may be inclined to move for the right-winger in the final hours of the January transfer window, according to sources familiar with the situation.

He's only 25 and was touted at one time as the hottest prospect in Brazil. I would be gobsmacked if PSG were asking anything bellow 40 mil for him. I wouldn't pay that mind.

Can definitely see him preferring us to those clubs but we'd obviously have to make an acceptable bid first.

I know things can change between now and the summer but if at the moment we are confident of getting Malcom, who appears to be our first choice, later this year then I don't think we will need Lucas any Moura.
