All summer I was hoping for another dangerous player that the opponents will be scared of and who can get goals, someone that will have opposing teams thinking god, we've got Kane, Dele, Eriksen and 'such and such' to deal with and it's fantastic to think the Lucas may be that player.

After Monday night teams will be wary but it's great to finally have another goal threat, after what, 3 years of having the same primary threats? Not that that's a complete negative, but even with what we had we still fell short from time to time.

Just to highlight how great or important Lucas may potentially be and I really don't mean to turn this into a negative in any way or criticise as I love the player but IMO, for as good as he can be, Son would not have gotten two goals at OT.

From using my shitty auto-translate plugin for youtube comments and diving into brasilian vids of the game. They all enjoyed seeing mourinho humbled (pretty much universally I didn't realise how much they hated him).

They also think that lucas has found the perfect coach in poch and that he can tap that potential (as others have said). (y)

Son has gotten 40 goals in the last two seasons. He is a dangerous player as well. Be glad we have them both.

I don't know why you're suggesting that I may not be happy to have both, that couldn't be any further from my feelings.

How many of them were scored at Old Trafford?

I see nowhere anyone said they were not glad we had Son as well, stop making up shit. What I got from @ajspurs post was that he was glad we now had another pacey player to compliment and complete our team.

Did i say he said he wasn't glad we had son? He just made it sound that son wasn't as dangerous as moura. I pointed out that he was dangerous and that we should be glad to have both of them.

Don't understand the argument. Think you're both right. We are lucky we have both Moura and Son. But, we're just seeing and learning what Moura has in his locker, 'cause he's relatively new to the team. And it's also true that he gives us some qualities we've been missing. Looking forward to the rest of the season with the thought of our options up front.

I will happily admit to being a big Charlie fan in the day. Gave 100% always. Had a good football brain to compensate for his "remarkable" lack of pace.

I loved him too buddy. He was a classy, calm player, who actually reminded me a bit of our own Gary Mabbutt. Didn't really need electric pace because he read the game so well & seemed to know what attackers were going to do before they did it.

Sorry mate as I ike you as a poster but the way you replied was as if to imply that these (your comments about Son) weren’t things I already believed or knew myself. I actually tried to emphasise in my post that I wasn’t trying to be negative regarding Son to avoid a response like yours.

I think Son is fantastic and highly underrated by many. Of course it’s still early days but my point is that I feel Lucas could potentially just have that little bit of special magic to see us through some of those tight games against the big sides. Magic that someone else like Son, may not provide. And like I said that’s not even really a bad thing or a negative because Son will still bag a really good amount of goals and assists and generally contribute brilliantly to the team, hence why my comment was never intended to be a dig.

I reckon if Sissoko leaves at some point either now on loan or in future Moura will take the number 17 shirt (as his favoured 7 taken by Son).

Might leave a load of new converts who buy his 27 shirt peed off lol.

Just thought I’d randomly put that out there.

I won't lie it comes across as you're suggesting he's ungrateful even in the example you gave.

Not sure about the rules at the moment, with the new transfer deadline date and earlier registration of PL squad. Whether players are still allowed to change number.

Shame he didn't go for 9 if he's going to play this far up field.

He was saying that son wouldn't score two goals at ot and the comparrison made it sound that son wasn't as dangerous. I pointed out he was dangerous and we should be happy to have both.

Would son have scored two goals at ot? We don't know, maybe not. Will moura turn out to be a better player? Possibly. But it is too early to tell so for the time being just enjoy that we have two excellent players on our books.

Just because i quote you in a post doesn't mean my post is solely directed at you, it is directed at everyone who reads it including myself.

I could watch that split second of him receiving the pass from Kane, (which still left him with LOADS to do) controlling the ball, knocking it past the United defender (Smalling?) and then just sprinting away from him like he was going backwards over and over.

My hope now is that when we come up against the bus parking wankers who play with no ambition to even leave their own half, Poch throws EVERYTHING at them.
Sacrifice a defender in the 2nd half. Imagine the chaos we could cause by having ALL of Kane, Dele, Lucas, Eriksen and Son bombarding them.

I think back to that West Ham game at Wembley (1-1) here those horrible little fucks didn't cross the halfway line for most of the match, then nicked a worldy to go ahead.
If we'd have thrown all of those (having not had Lucas then) at them, they would have folded and conceded.

And then - in COMPLETE contradiction to what I just said - I also think giving the ball away and encouraging teams to attack us will help break them down.

Yeah sorry I meant next summer, I like to think ahead lol.

Probably can’t change now as our transfer window close.

Although 9 is also a good shout as seems silly to keep leaving it empty and Anderton wore it for quite a few years for us.

I find it weird if there was genuinly spurs fans who were not sure about Moura.
I remember the moment when I was sure he was going to be a hit for us.
Last game of the season vs Leicester, he pressed Leicester to make a mistake and then Kane scored. Then he was surrounded by 3-4 leicester players in the box, but still had the compusure and technique to make a heel pass to Lamela, who scored though with some deflection.
He is going to be massive for us this season.
