It looks like Sissoko doesn't kick a ball beteeen appearances because it seems completely alien to him whenever he receives the ball during a match and takes him 10 touches to bring it under control. Worst purchase since Gilberto.

The 6 highest transfers in our history

Lamela
Soldado
Sissoko
Son
Janssen
Paulinho

Probably £150 m in total and let's just say in the nicest possible way none of them would be close to being in a " best ever " Spurs line up.

Ironic that Levy is such a hard negotiator when selling but then goes and pisses away all his hard work on donkeys like Shittoko and Pauline. To be fair Janssen, Lamela and Son haven't been too bad and could come good. Soldado and Paulinho looked fantastic for other clubs. However the Shittoko transfer is a horror show and completely indefensible.

Before today, Pissoko had managed 58 mins of PL football for us this season.

Pathetic.

Absolutely pathetic.

Can we send Sissoko to a sports psychologist to help him think about what to do when he gets the ball ?

To use a couple of tennis comparisons Nick Kyrgios ( who I met in the US a couple of weeks ago and we spoke about his love for Spurs and how he became a fan ) has improved from a quitter to a true competitor capable of being number 1 in the world after a couple of months of therapy and of course Jo Konta who won Miami yesterday used to freeze in all her matches until she started working with a mental trainer.

I make these comparisons only because the mental side of sport is so important and maybe Sissoko needs an intensive 3 months of therapy so he can actually avoid his constant brain freezes. Or maybe it's too late for him now...
sports psychology will not improve his technique, passing and dribbling.

It's been reported as £5 million a season with a minimum £15 million fee it's only £30 million if he stays for 5 years

That can't be right Newcastle would have been mental to agree to that. The way I understood the deal was 6m per season for 5 seasons no matter what (going by reports at the time)

I'm positive that there is no way Spurs committed to buying Sissoko for 30M no matter what, but I don't think we get away with 6M when he leaves the club this summer either.

Under no circumstances could you play sissoko centre mid with his heavy first touch and pass. He wouldn't be able to keep possession in tight areas, it would be suicidal to play him there.

For France in the euros he looked world class and that is probably why we went for him. I'm sure we would have asked Lloris about him. He can play CM and is a box to box player. The question is his attitude and that is what was questioned at NUFC.

You'd think a club would do some due diligence before even thinking about buying a player (or even bringing in a Bosman/free, as those players will still cost wages). Most clubs don't have the benefit of financial doping, so they have to spend money wisely and carefully. If there are so many concerns about a player's attitude, that should be a major red flag, as it can have all sorts of negative consequences around the team and even the club as a whole. I know hindsight has a habit of being 20/20, but I'd have steered clear.
