He has done better than last year but is still not at the required level. While he is playing better we may attract a buyer so sell him now.

Has this guy got pics of Poch;'s mrs or something?? how he has played every game this year is a joke.

has he improved on last season? a bit. but an improvement on completely useless is still shockingly bad.

last night, i was praying for him to make a 3 yard slow backward pass just so he didnt give it away again.

No one was good last night, but this guy has to go.

He was so lazy last night as well. Just jogging back without a care in the world. Fair enough if you're somehow going to make a very nice career out of having next to zero technical ability -- but at least try.

But Onomah can't get a chance in midfield for us because he looks a little lazy, despite having more ability in his little toe than Sissoko has in his entire body. Absolute joke.

Looks like a great signing. Offers a bit of directness on the wing. An outball and some pace. I like.

The two Moussas in the middle would be tasty also. Promising.

This hasn't aged well.....

He's a unit, fairly quick and can do a job, but he's still a terrible footballer

That he has played a part in every game this season is truly horrifying.

He, at his best, can do the simple well. However, I have never seen a professional footballer dribble straight into an opponent, without and shimmy or dummy or attempt at skill, so often.

I would rather TOB, Onomah, hell even Gary Doherty take his place in the team. Either we have massive injury concerns or he plays like Messi in training, and Rasiak in the match.

The easy thing to do is to blame everything on Sissoko so that’s what I’ll do.

There's a always a scapegoat.

Always, and while there seems to be a few things, unrelated to Sissoko, that aren’t going right you’re only as strong as your weakest link and Sissoko is most certainly our weakest link.

Good that Lamela is back, though, as Sissoko will get less minutes as a result. If Lamela was never injured then Sissoko would’ve hardly played.

I don't think anyone's said this is all Sissoko's fault, there is equally a lot of criticism of Alli, Dier, Eriksen, Poch etc. The fact that Sissoko is just bafflingly shit on top of all that. Nobody has said anything like we'd be winning the title if only Sissoko wasn't here so I'm not sure how you can say he's being used as a scapegoat. He's being citicized along with many other players

Oh trust me there's more for Sissoko, some even unwarranted, am not surprised though, as I said there's always a scapegoat.

i really cant see why he played over Son yesterday, son played ok on Saturday in a crap performance, gives us a bit of width and can actually beat players and score goals and gives us something different to dele and eriksen

Do you think he’s good enough to be in our match day 18? If not, why not?

I don’t and never have agreed with scapegoating. The difference between Sissoko and the rest of our squad is that while others may lose form, at least we know what they can offer on a good day - and they have proved that time and time again. The people currently getting stick - Lloris, Dier, Eriksen and Alli etc have all proved their worth for us over the time they’ve been here.

Sissoko should never be blamed for any particular loss but with poor performance after poor performance after poor performance, the criticism he receives on here is fair. I would never boo him at a match and I would get behind him as with any of our players but discussing it with fellow Spurs supporters on an internet forum is different. If anyone can explain how Sissoko has been a benefit for us, I’m willing to listen. As I’ve said before though, power and pace doesn’t make a good footballer if he has no other attributes to his game.

I hate reading threads like this because it’s depressing but it’s here for a reason. Sissoko shouldn’t be anywhere near our 18 based on his performances for us over the last 18 months or so. He’s probably in because of injuries but I would rather give a youngster a chance than carry on playing a player with his limited ability. Would genuinely love him to prove me wrong because it means Spurs would benefit from it.

There's maybe more criticism for Sissoko, but that's because he's never shown himself to even remotely have any footballing ability, even in his "good" games. I wouldn't call that being used as a scapegoat though, it's just regular criticism. A scapegoat would mean he alone was being blamed for our problems, which as far as I know nobody has actually said

He shouldn't be anywhere near the team now Lamela is back. In central midfield I'd see what TOB can do as a backup player until we could possibly make a decision on Onomah.

Don’t dislike the guy but we really need more quality than him in the squad next season. I think he deserves credit for improving this season but long term we need to add higher quality than him.
