I don’t know how it’s even a discussion. He is nowhere near technically good enough to play in an attacking position for us. Nowhere near! Yes he tries but I’m sorry trying isn’t enough. He just isn’t good enough. Get rid ASAP.

There is no discussion, it’s just 166 pages of people saying “he’s not good enough, get rid.”

good grief he was so much better than Dembele or Wanyama today. He was the ONLY midfielder that was able to push the ball into the final third. I agree he cant do shit when he gets there but neither can Dembele or Wanyama.

Beautiful* moment late on where he lost the ball down the right and then just stood on the spot in some daze of confusion as the game went on around him. Bless him.

*Ridiculous, amateur, clueless, stupid, retarded.... Are all acceptable alternatives

That is all true but we know they can play to a standard we expect. Sissoko hasn’t and never will because he doesn’t have the ability. It really is that simple.

no, they cant. Thats why Sissoko plays, because Dembele and Dier and Wanyama cant be counted on to do anything once they cross the midfield line.

Simply one of the worse footballers I have ever seen at Spurs. I literally cringe every time someone passes the ball to him. The ball bounces off his shin everytime he attempts to control a ball as he is like a human pinball machine. I couldn’t careless if Dembele or Wanyama we’re “worse today “ ... atleast these guys actually have ability and have proved it. Sissoko is a pile of shit and he is on a different planet compared to the other players.

How on earth are some on here saying he was our best player? Couldn't fucking control the ball.

Son did more for the team than Sissoko, even with his limited minutes on the pitch. But then again, Son did more than half the team today. But no way was Sissoko our best player today.

You must have missed the headlights glaring at his eyes.

Ashamed at the abuse our fans gave him today.

While I don’t agree with fans at the game abusing our players, there is only so much they can take when such a mediocre player gets more minutes than any other Spurs player. Either Poch sees something we are all missing or he’s making a statement to Levy to get the cheque book out as this player is the best option he has and look how fucking shit he is. Either way I hope we sign a couple of players and he gets nowhere near the starting 11 again.

That's the thing. People are constantly defending Sissoko because he maybe wasn't the worst player on the pitch but the thing is he's never been the best player on the pitch either. He's played nearly 60 games for Spurs now and he's not once been our best player as far as I can remember. Other players (Dembele/Wanyama etc..) get less stick on days like this because they've shown they're quality footballers.

It is tough for Sissoko though, he probably gets too much praise for having an average game and then too much stick for having a slightly below average game.

He's like a bull in a China shop. I am not sure if the bloke ever has control of a ball. Its either bouncing off his shins or knees. A bizarre and really an ineffective player. Still better than his first season however

I've been a big defender of his and can appreciate all the other things he brings to the team but it is honestly crazy someone has become a pro footballer with the actual ability on the ball that he has

What did he do wrong tonight?

Average performances all over the shop out there this eve. He was solid. Played his part. Grafted and played his part on a shit pitch which everyone struggled on (except Foyth, who's the dog's bollocks).

What did Sissy do tonight that sets him apart from everyone else who was out there averaging it up?

Being unable to pass the ball? Being unable to run past a defender? Doing all the things he's been unable to do against Premier League opposition only this time being unable to do it against Newport.

But... he did all those things tonight. You sure you watched the game?
