I can't see how anyone can judge Sissoko until he has a proper run of games in the team. I'd play him central midfield for the next 3 cup games and see if he can deliver the form that he did in the Euros.

Just remembered he plays for us...

Jesus.
Well ... that's a loose definition of the word "play", isn't it.

Don't get me wrong. He looks like a strong, direct, speedy, goal oriented beast. As long as he doesn't get close to the actual ball, that is.

No, really I think it's great that we are a club in forefront of tolerance and inclusion, and that we sign just your everyday, game-for-a-laugh guy from the local pub, and offer him a professional contract. It really reaches out to us fans, literally anyone of us could become that guy who just gets a deal from out of nowhere.

With the deal we supposedly did on this bloke that has been rumoured ( something like 6 X 1 year deals @ 5mill per year), are we able to just send him back to the barcodes or do we need to actually sell him ?

There have been so many stories and rumours on this transfer its hard to find out what deal we actually did.

I believe the consensus is that we need to find a buyer, who'd pay the dinares straight to Newcastle.

Surely he's being played out of position? Should be a centre back in my opinion. It's like watching Alton Thelwell being played as a winger all the time. He must be our worst buy ever!! Even Bentley wasn't this shite.

So the player no one expected to be good, is not good

The person who decided this was a good buy should be fired right now

That game against Newcastle. At the time I thought the worst thing was getting stuffed 5-1. Then afterwards I realised Arsenal finished above us because of it. Now it seems we signed Shitoko because of his performance against us. I'm terrified to imagine what other misery that game will generate for us.

He might fare better with intelligent, creative, technically brilliant, players around him who can make use of his ( alleged ) pace and power?

We'll never see the best of him if that's the case!!!

Seriously though, he was only ever going to be a poor value purchase. Way overpriced and we already knew how underwhelming he can be.

Wouldn't let him anywhere near centre midfield.

I doubt anyone thinks he's been a good signing, but let's not make him a scapegoat for what's been another shite away performance.

He's definitely not a winger.

His skillset is more suited to CM more than anywhere on the pitch, but he isn't good enough no matter where he plays for us.

Wynaldum was the player worth getting.

Time to cut our losses and give him away. I would be happy with £5million for a player who has shown nothing. Maybe he's a goalkeeper?
