Who is going to pay any money for him in the current climate, considering he's on big wages and a long contract?

It's all well and good saying that players x, y and z have to be binned, but if you have no one interested in buying then what do you do?

We could tell him that he won’t be given a squad number next season (like Rose). If he wants to be in the French squad for the next WC, he might consider accepting any offers that might come his way? ?‍♂️

My point is, who will make him/us an offer? We could try and mug off West Ham by selling him as their ideal replacement for Noble I suppose. Selling needs a buyer. From what I can tell, there are precisely 0 potential buyers for Sissoko, or Winks.

If you're a club wanting and able to spend £30m on a physical CM, would Sissoko be on your shortlist? I say £30m as realistically Levy won't sell anyone at a loss.

Of course he'd sell him for a loss, he's what 4-5 years older than when we bought him.

He's not on a long contract, he's still somehow in French team so he will get offers from different clubs.

He was brought from Newcastle 5 seasons ago as far as Levy is concerned, his transfer fee is fully amortised and any fee is a profit

he's a decent player, he gets regular games everywhere he goes, and as you mentioned still gets selected to the french side. he's thoroughly unspectacular but managers like him.

Too busy pointing at Diaz & getting Reguilon to get closer so totally loses Laporte with no idea where he is. What’s scandalous is it’s not the first time.
Id say more scandalous is our two CBs marking 5'7" Sterling. Is that really how they drew it up in training?

was clearly zonal..... Problem is we had the wrong person in the wrong zone,,,,,
Hojberg and Sissoko were at the back with Diaz and Laporte, whereas Kane, Dier and Toby were near post with gudogan and sterling

If we want to sell him, we can’t expect to get back the full amount that we paid for him, especially as he’s already on the wrong side of 30 and his recent displays in the last couple of seasons hasn’t made him into an attractive buy.

I expect smaller clubs might look at getting him for a much lower fee than £30m. My bigger concern is whether Levy will accept the fee offered. If he doesn’t , we’d be stuck with a player we don’t want and having to pay him his wages whilst he’s still here and further reducing his value.
