If I remember correctly, Martin Chivers played @ 64 games that long old season!
Similar to you, I recall going to Milan (home) midweek, West Brom (away), Chelsea (home), Milan (away) then Southampton (away) all within @ 10 days. (All while living in Manchester).
Great memories TCO.
They both play in midfield as well.Weird how football works.
Last January Bentancur signs and goes into team as Skipp injured.
This February, Bentancur gets injured allowing Skipp to take his place back!
Great post-match interview with him pitchside on MOTD2. Spoke intelligently about the tactics for the game.
100%. What a lovely and grounded lad. Top man, Skippy.
First proper interview I've heard from him on motd2
He speaks well. Def future captain
Wonder if it’ll be him and sarr vS sheff United mid week?
Disagree (but in a good way). Now he's broken his duck I expect him to chip in with 5 or 6 goals per seasonneeds to learn a celebration for his next goal. probably has about 2 years, so plenty of time ?

It made me laugh yesterday as Skipp completely dominated the £107m footballer in Enzo Fernandez. I started to look at their respective careers.
- Skipp has played 114 Professional Football Games, and turned 22 in September of last year. 5ft 10 in height.
- Fernandez has played 117 Professional Football Games, and turned 22 in January this year. 5ft 10 in height.
Basically both at the same level. Skipp has played more competitive football in harder leagues (67 appearances for Spurs), whereas Enzo has played only 29 games for Benfica and 4 for Chelsea.
The fact that someone has gone out & spent over £100m on him just goes to show that a fancy name really can get you places. If Skipp was to have a value against his name it would be probably be somewhere between £15-25m.
The thing that struck me so much yesterday was the mobility comparison of the two. Skipp was far more dynamic and a few times blew past him when on the ball. I have no doubt that Fernandez will be a good player, but he is the epitome of Chelsea at the minute with spending a lot of money on players with potential and no experience (FofanaX2, Madueke, Mudryk, Fernandez, Badiashile, Santos & Chukwuemeka)
Back to Skipp, I was absolutely delighted for him yesterday, a great goal and a great performance.
This isn’t really an accurate comparison though is it. Skipp hasn’t broken into the national team and won the World Cup, yet.It made me laugh yesterday as Skipp completely dominated the £107m footballer in Enzo Fernandez. I started to look at their respective careers.

He's a very good player and had been absolutely superb for Benfica. This isn’t really an accurate comparison though is it. Skipp hasn’t broken into the national team and won the World Cup, yet.
It bonkers how much Chelsea paid for this kid, but he’s clearly a talented youngster. Chelsea seem to be a mess right now, I doubt they’ll see the best of these purchases until they’ve had another two or three managers yet.
