Could have picked a player that’s actually signed for a new club as a better example
If it was spurs signing him, I'd be skeptical. He's not even played 40 top flight games. It's a punt. I doubt he's been scouted sufficiently enough. Big risk imo

Really? Smacks of envy. He's looked absolute mustard in the CL and our fanbase would be wet for him if he was seriously linked with us.

Now this is verging on off-topic, but..

Depends on whether you think this is 'reliable'. ?‍♂️

Ok so you’ve found the link to the quotes about arsenal signing mudryk. But it still hasn’t actually happened.
which is exactly the same as the ITK posted two pages ago saying that we expect Porro to happen.
Both could happen
Neither coukd hapoen
We could sign Porro before (or after) arsenal sign mudryk
Arsenal might not get mudryk
We might not get Porro

why choose only the worst scenario out of the five (six) options available, and get bent out of shape about it (yet)

By all means start foaming on feb 1st. Hell, I’ll hand you a pitchfork and we can raize the stadium to the ground together.

Literally no clubs pay the entire transfer fee in one go. None. So stop making out like we're doing something so massively out of the ordinary in the market or it's us being clever. It's market practice.

What games did he look mustard in?

I saw him vs Scotland, he didn't do a lot.

Again, 70m on a guy who has hardly played enough football at the highest level. It seems like a massive punt. Nothing to do with envy, I'd expect more for 70m.

oh, i'm not bent out of shape. at all. and i agree with you. all i was saying is that the guy who was bent out of shape was at least pointing out a deal that has been reported to be in better shape than our putative move for porro.

Yeah, he's an exciting player, but signings like that are always risky.

Spanish buyout clause’s require the player to buy the contract out in full. The clubs give the player the money to buy the contract out in one hit, it’s a legal requirement . Obviously the clubs could loan the money and pay in back in instalments but the entire fee has to be paid in one go

So you've seen him play against Scotland, and decided he's not great? Okay.

You've made me have to look up the specifics on when he did well. 3 goals and 2 assists in 6 games for Shakthar - nothing to sneeze at considering they're a pretty limited team. Leipzig away, scored and got an assist. Played well against Madrid both legs, but didn't get on the scoresheet. Got a goal in both legs against Celtic and was the main threat in both games. Terrorized Ireland for one and a half games, but was taken off injured in the second leg.

I think he'll be class in the PL. Time will tell.

Oh. And Porro.

The reasons I could think of for any delay in this signing is that we are negotiating on either a financial loan back agreement or Edwards sell on % but can't see why this would take so long. We have been linked for a few weeks now.

Ultimately Levy is kicking the tyres and making ooh and AHH noises whilst hoping they get bored and lower the price. He's probably also hoping Conte loses a few games so he can sack him and not sign any premium players.

Chelsea now allegedly looking at Porro.

If he signs for them because we didn’t meet a release clause we knew about then I swear to god…
