JUST IN: Pedro Porro to #thfc is at risk!

After reaching a verbal agreement on Saturday, last night, there has been a disagreement.

Sporting CP are now demanding the release clause to be paid, Spurs are refusing to pay it. | @Record_Portugal

youve got to be fucking kidding

This has to be the most frustrating transfer of all time. At least we only have like 40 more hours til this circus is over, one way or another

Never been so bored of a transfer saga, and that's saying something as a Spurs fan.

If it does finally get over the line, it's really not gonna feel all that exciting to me.

Throw in the continued poor handling of players like Gil, Tanganga and Spence and honestly, I'm seriously fed up with this club atm.

Two days ago they said we were paying the clause.
I wouldn't take much notice of it.

Would be just typical Levy to fuck this up and make some shit excuse why. Trouble is us fans will either fall for the excuse or forgive as always because we are so used to being let down by him.
Hope it's fake news but probably not knowing Spurs we aren't allowed nice things!
Great start to the morning?

I mean, I don’t know anything about this but it’s not Levy fucking it up if they come to a verbal agreement then pull the plug the very next day.

I agree with that but why it take Levy do long and why after all this time no signed agreement. Verbal agreement means nothing.
I know nothing about what's happening behind the scenes but surely Levy should of insisted on written agreement. If it falls through now we are screwed for time to go for another option or have to go for option D,E or F.

If this is true, we should put a serious squeeze on his agent to tell them to stop fucking us around, or that the deal is off.

As a club we should walk away from this if it’s not sorted out and finalised today. All this playing in the final first bullshit. It’s like dealing with Ronnie & Reggie!

However, it could just be Sporting delaying things so they can sign a replacement first.

I'm tired of this now. Completely fine to walk away and persevere with Emerson/Doc.

Edit: if true
This post truly blows my mind. Persevere with Emerson and Doherty?! They're both no where near the required standard. I don't think people understand how great of a signing Porro could be. He could change the whole way we play. I haven't heard of any issues with the deal so let's see but I would be shocked if this didn't get done. Levy and Co understand how important it is to get at least one 1st team player in. Especially when it's arguably our weakest area. Keep the faith.

The other day they said the release clause had expired…

This saga is crazy.

The problem for the club is they have to complete this deal at all costs because if they don’t, the fan backlash is going to be monumental. A lot of fans are already becoming more vocal against the owners and this deal falling through would send it to new levels.

I think Sporting know this and may be exploiting our position.
