I'd make him captain if Kane leaves. He is increasingly becoming the obvious choice.
A no for me. To be a captain you need to deliver on the pitch first. I am excited to see him this season but first he needs to make his starting spot his.
Guess Sonny would be captain if Kane leaves. Not that I think it would be a perfect match either.

Yeah personally don't think Sonny's an ideal pick, but I'm 95% sure he'd be given it for symbolic/experience purposes even if he's not the most natural, vocal leader.

He's been at the club for ages, has captained us before, captains South Korea, and Ange has openly waxed lyrical about how highly respected Son is throughout the group and how he ties the group together by being mates with everyone.

No give it to Cuti, he would probably two foot the oppo Captain at the coin toss :)

Really good to see Bissouma an integral part of the team, I think he will settle in very quickly. Would avoid giving him the Captaincy for the moment so he can concentrate on himself first.

Club making a thing about this and having feature a lot on social media means that we've got high expectations of him. Clearly Ange must see him as being a key player in the squad. He was fantastic at Brighton and we've only sees glimpses of that so far. Looking forward to seeing him play this season.

He offers a lot more than Hojbjerg and his fitness and form will be critical to our success this season. Particularly with Bentancur out.

Also showing leadership as well in tonight’s game: you can tell that the likes of Sarr look up to him. Very strong and some might disagree but he could be that Dembele replacement we’ve missed. Please stay fit 🙏

Was fantastic
Would like to add, it’s his ball mastery and carrying that is really useful against teams who will press us. I’ve said before I honestly don’t have a preference between him and Højbjerg, but these characteristics make me rethink things and are probably necessary as we’re gonna be facing a lot more teams this season that press like Barca as opposed to lion city/shakhtar/west ham (under Moyes).

He is a rolls Royce of a player. I watched that thinking peak Barca would love to sign him.

Just so composed and happy to take the ball any where. Not to dog on hojbjerg too much but bissouma does all the things that hojbjerg doesn't that makes him such a frustrating player. So much composure on the ball and confidence to take it on in any position on the pitch.

His footwork in close quarters really impressed me tonight. I didn't know he could move his feet so quick with the ball. I honestly think a midfield of Bissouma, Bentancur and Maddison could be one of the best midfield in Europe.
