Motta as a DM anybody? Zanetti? Cassano? Crespo? Sylvinho? Nedved? Kewell for LW? I know he's had his injuries, but Vidukas still doing it at almost 33! We gave Woody the chance. Surely it wouldn't hurt to have a seasoned player here for a season/2 seasons to help our young players ala Davids. Just throwing some thoughts in....What do you lot think?

I always buy Kehl on FM 08 on a free transfer at the end of the first season.

But tbh I cannot really see anyone there that we'd really want. Motta may be ok, Edmilson and Ujfalusi likewise, but nobody else really.

Yep lets use the Berba money to spend on signing on fees for a whole new starting 11.

Edmilson and Zanetti could be useful

Maxi Rodriguez? That can't be the good Maxi Rodriguez could it?

Few good players there. If i had to pick one, Danny Murphy stands out for me!

I really wanted us to sign Kehl last summer, but he's been struggling with the same injury for 2 years. When fit, i'd say he's as good as Torsten Frings.

Unfortunately Rodriguez very recently (last month I think) extended his contract at Madrid until 2010, he would've been great on a free. I doubt we would have got him anyway.

Thanks for posting. This is where our FM-playing colleagues have the advantage me thinks though.

Amazing that Wenger let Flamini fall into that list. Hahahahha!

Unless Comolli is posting in this thread, then you are asking the wrong people.. we have to accept who we are given and get on with it. All the guess work and saying who we want is pretty childish.

sorry dad :|

People want to guess, they can guess - why is it childish? I'm 31 and i don't feel childish in being able to look at that list and pick out players that would improve our current setup

maybe you need a hug?

Come to that, caring enough about a game to spend your free time posting on an internet forum is not a sign of maturity. So your point was?

I seriously doubt Comolli will have a great deal to do with our first team signings this summer. Other than what I've personally been told and what ITKS have posted, it's highly unlikely that we'd pay Ramos such a high wage to come and just be 1st team coach. Also, given Ramos relationship with his previous DofF toally broke down, it's unlikely he'd come to a club where he'd not have the main say in first team transfers. Also Ramos assessment of our squad and urgent shopping in Jan must have been a huge kick in the bollocks for Comolli. We were told we have a squad capable of challenging the top 4 and Ramos seems to have come in, had a look and concluded "like fuck we do!" I think/hope we'll see more players in the Modric/Woodgate mold, than KPB/Kaboul types.

I think we could do a lot worse than Motta (25) , Kehl (28) or Edmilson (31) as a DM on a free. Champions League experience, represented their national sides - particularly Edmilson.

Cassano as our fourth striker wouldn't be a bad thing either. Crespo would be great as our fourth striker...but he doesn't seem to be able to settle in the UK...particularly London!!

The trouble with a lot of these signings is that even though they're getting on....their wage demands seem to stay sky high....the bosman thing only emphasises this!

I thought Kehl had re-signed.

I found this on the official BVB site (Feb)

Germany international Sebastian Kehl has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund through 30 June 2012. His original contract was due to expire at the end of the current season. "I one-hundred percent belong at this club. I see a very good sporting future here", said the 28 year-old, who has already played six years for BVB. Sport Director Michael Zorc said, "Sebastian is a key player. We want to build a successful team around him."
