What's new

Players should be proud of themselves for the heart they showed tonight

Every player should find heart in that they tried incredibly hard and even though it was a loss i expect a big passionate speech from someone in the dressing room right now to drum up the players for the top 4 push. Also Carroll was immense, and the main thing we lack is movement in the final third when someone turns with the ball. Dawson was an absolute warrior

i somehow agree.

but on the other hand I am so close to just packing it in and just giving up on this fecking club. we always seem to bottle it in spectacular fashion. it's killing me slowly but surely.

it's like it's just not meant to be for us...

I need to finish this bottle of scotch now .... :(

Through Naugton, Dembele and Ade were appalling. Ade's pen a joke. The rest really played well and battled to the end.

Oh every spurs fan knows this is the way of life for us. Most of us would probably abandon spurs if they stopped bottling it for some reason because it would be so weird :D

Nothing but credit for the lads tonight. Seriously depleted, even more so after Dembele and Verts were off.

Dawson, Walker, Holtby, Siggy, even Dempsey, woked as hard as they could.

The less said about Adebayor the better.

Dawson's mistake led the red card. He tried to control a looping ball, miscontrolled it, which led to the throughball. He played well enough overall.

I thought that from the moment Verts was sent off the players did themselves proud. Brilliant defending and proper effort considering we were down to 10 men, away from home and this late in the season.

We didn't play well tonight but I don't think effort was where we were lacking.

Also the ridiculous challenge leading to Dembele's yellow in the first half. He launched in like an aimless North Korean missile 55 yds from goal and got nowhere close. Completely unnecessary.

The heroic blocks are what makes Dawson a PL quality player. Without them he is nothing.

Some should.

Dempsey, Adebayor, Friedel, Huddlestone. Never want to see in Spurs shirt again.

What the fuck is tom doing taking first pen? When have we ever seen him score?

You're probably right. Just so hard to swallow. Have been supporting this team for thirty years and I am always an optimistic glass half full kind of person.... but I think I've just grown tired of the way it always ends in dissapointment.

I agree but he isnt known for his close control but it is true his mistake led to vertonghens mistake which then led to a red. These things happen but even if you make the occasional mistake trying your hardest i cant let myself call them pathetic like some others are on the forum :S :(

Yep boys gave it their all.

Our lack of squad cover I put firmly at blame of owners (again).

They need to jog on ASAP

Year after year after year after year after

This is as good as it gets unfortunately.

Also great for Holtby, Carrol and Siggy to get useful time on the pitch for us in the Cup this season.

Siggy and Holtby both look considerably more settled than they did a month ago.

So proud of Daws. Total soldier.

He made some crucial challenges near the end but he had a bad game, how many times did he come flying into challenges?

His positioning was very bad most of the game even when he did make a crucial challenge he was out of position in the first place. He gave it away so many times, yes he will chuck his body in the way of shots but he is a poor defender/player.

The tie was lost at WHL.

A big mountain to climb and you don't want to be going to Switzerland to do it.
