I'm hoping the Cider Army can pull this off. Lived with a mental City fan most of my time at uni and so ended up going to a lot of games (just up the road from Bath). Also I think Gary Johnson has done an unbelievable job and if they win today it will be back to back promotions.

Just thought I'd kick this off. Who will win, and how will they do in the Premiership?

Im not sure who will win, but i think neither will be able to survive a season in the prem. Unless they spend a similar amount to sunderland, about £40 million. I will be happy to see either in the prem, nice to see new teams coming up, rather then the same yo-yo-ers like WBA. If i had to guess id go with Bristol City

Not sure who will win, but neither will stay in the Prem.

Not sure the fans particularly mind, though. They'll make the most of the season they have in the Premiership, much the same as the Derby fans have this year.

My brother's partner's from Barnsley and she's said that every (home) weekend of their season in the Premiership ('97-'98 I believe), regardless of the result, was like a massive party in the town for both home and away fans. They really enjoyed playing host to all of the other top flight clubs.

On a more personal note.. fuck going to Hull for an away game.

Come on the Tigers, would be good to see Barmby have one last fling in the prem....Marney`s on the bench.

what a goal from Shrek Windass. Still hope Bristol go up though, much better away trip than Hole City

Great football all round for that goal. Lovely chipped cross and great technique from Windass on the volley.

No saving that.

My boss and his family and all his mates are there today in the Tigers end. He's a season ticket holder with his daughter and it's been great at work as he's as hooked on them and the Hull City fan forums as we are with our lot and this site.

I'd love to see Hull City go up as it is a City continuously labelled as a shit hole yet hardly anyone knows where it is!! The team has been put together by Phil Brown and has been playing some cracking football on the flooe, unlike his Bolton days under Allerdyce.

I hope they do it.

Bristol have been the better team without creating anything, but what a fantastic goal from Windass.

Orr looks in a bit of a state, never like to see that on a football pitch. Nice touch from the Hull fans to give him a standing ovation when he went off.

The right team won. For all of the ball Bristol City had I am not sure they created a single clear cut chance. Well done to Hull, but seriously they are gonna have to buy almost a whole new side. Windass and Barmby back in the Prem!! :eek:mg:

So, can Hull beat Derby's record of just 11 points for a whole season in the Premiership?

All will be revealed May 2009..

'Ull it is then.

As said I reckon they ain't gonna win too many matches in the Prem but hopefully West Ham can accompany them back into the Championship as well

They'll surely get more than 11. I don't see that being beaten for a long time. Difference between Hull and Derby is that Hull's defence is pretty solid, Turner was outstanding today and Myhill is a quality keeper. They will grind out some results against the bottom teams where as Derby just surrendered every time.

Hull will need to get some decent attacking players in for sure. Teams who have come up and stayed up usually have goalscorers, not sure Hull do at that level. Is Campbell headed back to Man U?

Chuffed to bits Hull may be a dump but I think the team may cause a few surprises.

I don't think Deano will get much of a look-in next season and Campbell will go back to Manchester United.

Ococha is due to come back from injury - just missed the play-offs and not risked for the final match.

They'll do well do buy prudently but players like Ghaly who will be offloaded by Premiership teams this close-season will be the type of player Phil Brown will go for.

He'll need experience, lots of it, and players like Folan and Marney who will want to prove their previous teams wrong for off-loading them.

It's great to see the likes of Hull City up in the Premiership - they are something like the 48th club to appear in the Premiership since inception - approaching half of the Football League clubs. Amazing stat. really.
