IMO the best sign of Poh's reign thus far is his silence around footballing preferences/philosophy.
It seems like he didn't come in aiming to make a legacy of the AVB mould which is great; a sign of maturity and realism.
I think his season will depend on whether these 3 players perform: Lamela, Ade, Vert. Reasons:
1) Lamela is our version of Lllana (and possibly a better one). We've been starved of goals/assists from midfield so he is our best hope of plugging that gap.
2) Ade is our only proven goal scorer in the Prem and he knows the weight he carries; which is why he is such a prima donna. Managing his ego/fitness/hunger will be key.
3) Vert should be our leader in CB but what he shows in technical ability isn't matched by determination. To play CB in the Prem you need to be able to lead; he hasn't shown that aspect to his game.
This assumes that Eriksen/Lloris will have stellar seasons and i have little doubt about that barring injuries. Both are self-starters looking for a promising career.
From our list of youngsters i think Bentlab/Kane will have breakthrough seasons. Bentlab has skills that we need in CM (a combo of technical ability, dribbling and positioning). Kane could fill in where Ade/Soldado fail so he is very likely to get a chance.
