Indeed, and he could not be any worse then Hudd has been this season.

This is true. When it comes to Hudd, his long lay-off is obviously going to make it difficult, but he's been far from convincing so far - Wilshere and Cazorla won't be quaking in their boots when they see him on the team sheet.

I agree though that a three man midfield is needed. I suggested taking a risk and going with Parrett and Carroll alongside Sandro because of what they can bring to the team. Parrett brings energy and alongside Sandro can act as a defensive shield, whilst Carroll can get his foot on the ball and retain possession.

I think putting in both would be more than The Beard would be prepared to countenance. But, Tom Thumb wouldn't be too much of a gamble, albeit a bit of one. His left-footedness adds a slightly different option within the three-men, too.
In fact, we have talked me completely into it now. :)
Bring in Carroll as part of a three-man mid! Let's face it, it wouldn't represent any less of a risk than persisting with two mids and Dempsey on his current form.

OMG!!! Just recieved my first ever neg rep for choosing Hudd over Carroll. In this two horse 'opinion' poll I was so close to getting the right answer ;)

Whats to say Hudd wouldn't get his only goal of the season on Saturday?

The poll didn't include Freund.

RobbieDee, I didn't neg rep you, as there is no such thing as neg rep on this forum, I hit disagree because I disagreed with your post. I always hit disagree when I disagree with someone's post, I always hit agree when I agree with someone's post, I hit like when I like it, funny when I think it's funny, and so on... :barefoot:

It was meant in a light hearted way :) honest gov...I very rarely post anything serious on here.

I think an 'agree to disagree' option could solve a lot of arguments on this forum  (not that we're arguing)

You seem really excited about the neg rep. Would you like some more?! ;)

Please No, don't do it!!! I was excited initially but the adrenalin soon wore off. I've since been reprimanded (in a nice way) by talkshowhost #20, apologised in #32 and have accepted the non-neg rep (2 negatives make a positive) from Sloth above #65 and no longer believe in neg reps or santa.

All in all, it's been a productive day. Oh and I would still pick Hudd over Carroll

perhaps a 3 man mid of Sandro, THudd, and Siggi (since Dempsey is quite out of form at the mo),... then Lennon and Bale on the wings with Ade up top?... not convinced young Master Carroll is the right choice for the NLD yet... midfield not looking a good match up for this fixrture...
This is why AVB gets the big money :ninja:
