Regardless of what is at stake I always want my team to win, simple as that. I can't understand why anyone would think otherwise.

This for me.

We finish where we finish and we take what we get, be it Europa or no Europa - but much more likely to be the former anyway.

I understand the reasons for the Europa making the League campaign more tough, and it does. But be that as it may, a sensible approach (particularly in the group stages) can still allow us to push on all our fronts providing the quality of the squad is enhanced a bit.

So yeah, Spurs winning always comes first for me regardless.

Business as usual come Sunday, and I really want us to finish the season with a win.

I also find it a strange idea that Liverpool's form in the league this season has had more to do with their absence from Europe than PFA Player of the Year Luis Suarez et al.

Just because our players and managers have been able to convince everyone that we're shit on the weekend because we played in midweek doesn't mean it will be the same for other teams. Neither is it something we should wish to give more credence to, if we ever want to win anything again.

Europa League is essential.

Since when did we go all "billy-big-bollocks"? We spent years in the footballing wilderness, now we take EL for granted and talk about it as if it's somehow beneath us. From next season it provides a second crack at the Champions League, so it must be a priority. European football is european football.

We'll never make it in the Premier League and then, hopefully, the Champions League, if we don't first come to terms with the Europa League. We need to see our squad develop into a unit that can handle the physical and mental demands that league and european football brings.

Last game of the season, full house, wanting to ensure key players don't leave, ending on the season with a positive atmosphere in the ground... for all these reasons and the obvious one of supporting the damn team, we need to win. Irrespective of whats at stake. Otherwise whats the point of playing a competitive sport?

Good post. We need to keep things in perspective. For all the points made above.

If we did lose on Sunday and United won, - Not having to play another 23 matches, and no Sunday games would be positives, to take from the overall bigger picture.

But I do think Europa qualification and finishing 6th is our overall best option.

I say this with a real dislike to some of the stultifying, tedious football our makeshift, experimental Europa teams play in the early rounds, and having a new found contempt for football on a Sunday (after so much disappointment and humiliation in Sunday games this year!).

Win of course. I always want to see us win, I definitely want to see us finish above Man Utd for a change, and besides, I like EL, although the group stage is boring as hell.

I also find it beyond insane that CL qualification is a bigger draw than the actual piece of silverware, but I guess that's just modern football. It's a very nice bonus though, and it definitely makes the competition a lot more lucrative.

Don't give a monkeys if there is CL place up for winning the EUFA, I want us to be in it anyway.

I want a winning and a sacking of TS, sacked so quick he can't even do the post match interview.

Win. Always.

Hopefully the next manager will utilise the squad properly in Europe, playing a better blend of youth and second string starters to keep them ticking over and keeping their Prem team far away from it except in certain circumstances, later stages.

I'd like to quote Luis van Gaal.
"That's a stupid question. How do you expect me to answer that".
.
(I'm a fan of EL, though...)

A Spurs win for me, a win is a win and the club is bigger than anyone in charge. After all, any European football is better than no european football, surly?

No EL is best for us next season.
I'd have to agree, give the new coach some time between games on the training ground rather than trying to implement methods on the fly.

Pre-season is not really enough time to see a new methodology come to fruition and the more time spent in training with the players (not just warming down) the quicker we can see evidence on the pitch of a new style...

Not that I want us to lose (just think it may be for the best)

I have never wanted Spurs to lose. Bill Nic would be turning in his grave at such a thought.

A win for me, I think it's important to finish the season with a win and also be playing regularly in Europe, finishing above Utd is another bonus.

As for the Europa, we just need to manage the squad better, utilise the whole squad and take into account our opponents on the night and the ones coming up on the Sunday. Try and use the group stages to give everyone game time. Once the knockout starts we can change our approach as it suits. Also progressing in the Europa helps our coefficient, which will come in handy if we do manage to get back into the champs league, a small thing I know but not to be dismissed either.

I never want my team to lose!!

Secondly if we can't even compete in the Europa league and cope with the added games what is the point of striving to compete in an even tougher European competition.

Walk before you can run.
