Strange that it feels like our season is a disaster yet we are only 3 points behind Arsenal; 2 behind Manu and level with Everton and Pool

Got to at least love an ex Spurs playing a role in an Arsenal defeat - silver linings and all that

Well done Siggy

Ironic that if we had nicked a win today even playing shit as we did we'd be in a fairly strong position dispite having all the same problems and negatives we actually have today

I know they've been terrific so far this season, but the footballing gods really are smiling down on Chelsea. They're gonna be unchallenged this season for the title.

The difference is - Arsenal and Liverpool will probably respond with big moves in the Jan window to try correct their bad start

What will we do?

It is really funny. We were four seasons so close to top 4 increasing our points nearly every year and with all of these perfomances it seems this year it would be fucking enough to reach it. But now we are interested in a relegation battle

I said between 8 to 10 points a few weeks ago but now think it will be more than that, especially if City don't get their shit together.

Swansea are probably my favourite team to watch. Gary Monk really has done a great job.

Keep in mind also they both have strikers due to return from injury who will improve them.

The sad truth is the only player we have injured who's of any real worth is a right-back...

Exactly this. If you keep in mind they've already been to Everton, City, United and Liverpool, and are still unbeaten. They may suffer the odd shock defeat, but I struggle to see where they're really going to drop enough points to make a case for anyone else to have a real title challenge. 11 games in to the season and it's a 1-horse race.

Yes a massively false position for both of them currently

The scary thing is our false position might be that we actually have more points than we currently deserve and could be even lower in the league

As we're on the subject of false positions, Southampton, West Ham and Swansea in the top 5 in November. I'd love to see who would have predicted that in early August!

No one would have predicted it - especially Southampton

They were written off as relegation certainities after the fire sale they had this summer

I doubt any of them will stay in their current positions but be fair none of them are really in a false position as such - they all deserve their lofty placing based on their early season form
