Plus they keep wham at arms length.
Doesn't really affect how close West Ham are to us does it? Does add more competition to them for the top four though (although it also makes it easier for them to overtake City I guess)

I suppose West Ham would want the draw to gain on both Manc clubs?

Silva is having a really poor season for City and they are too reliant on Aguero. If United play like they did in the second half against us then we shouldn't have trouble beating them. The race for 4th should be exciting though. Looks like automatic qualification is secure for us.

Poor old Pep. Looks increasingly like the indefatigable God of football management will be slumming it in the Europa league next year!!!!

Sterling and Hart out for a month.
I knew this was bound to happen.

People saying they were bound to catch us simply because they have better players on paper weren't taking into account that those players wouldn't even be playing. They have a massive fixture congestion and Pellegrini overplays his main players like Aguero and Kompany until they break down and they're already injury prone as is.

Things are looking dire for them in this final run in.

I always compare them to PSG, as they've had the same amount of resources, except PSG have spent their money much more efficiently. Whereas city have built a largely average squad. I think pep will change this.

Isn't it nice not being in the race for that last champions league place. Can sit back in comfort and watch City, Utd and West Ham fans go through the agony of that while we sit looking dow

Put City in the French league and they'd coast to the title. PSG would find 38 games in the PL a little tougher too

Whilst I agree with you, I think that psg twice knocking out our league champions tells you that there is more round quality in their team.

Just watched the highlights of Chelsea vs West ham

Lanzini looks a real player - he's only on loan with them. Could we do what we did to Southampton last year and make a full time signing of a player who did well on loan for them?

I think he would add a little creative spark we lack in the cm area although I see issues trying to fit him in to our current crop and such a signing is surely less of a priority than back up for kane and Dier
I would Keegan it if we did that, but as you say it's probably not our main priority this summer. I'm also not sure how well he'd buy into the Poch ethos but then again you can say that about virtually every AM that might be available.
But he's gone now, signed a four year deal according to the Guardian.

hm, perhaps Fabregas should be booked for that - 2nd and he'd be off.

That was a good move but Villa are dreadful. They should refund fans the remaining games, take the 3-0 default defeat and have the rest of the season off.
