Pretty odd move from Maddison, lashing out against a journalist who covers Leicester for the Athletic.

They’ve just lost to the bottom team in the league, and they are now three points from bottom themselves with some tough fixtures on the horizon. This is not after 8 games but after two thirds of the season gone.

Everton fans should know better than to run on to the pitch in celebration.

Not because I disagree with storming pitches in principle, but it's the wrong sort of scenario for it. Survival should be a bare minimum for that club, not celebrated as an achievement and especially not for the second year in a row.

It would've sent a much stronger message to the club if they'd refrained.
