Stopped watching at HT, the first time that has ever happened in over 3 decades of watching Spurs. Listened to the 2nd half on the radio, whilst planning my suicide.

Gomes 5 Uneasy after the early pens, as witnessed by him and BAE failing to deal with a testing cross. A lot of poor handling.
Hutton 4 Unnecessary challenge for the pen. Rank bad defending
Bassong 2 Utterly dismal. For the 4th goal he became intangible
Dawson 2 If he'd played the whole game he could have conceivably got to zero
BAE 5 A lot of uncertainty but that's understandable
Lennon 5 How long will it take to realise that starting him on the left is futile?
Sandro 6 Looked reasonable before he came off, which was too early and turned out to be a terrible decision
Modric 7 Did everything he could and then a bit more
Pienaar 5 Nothing of any consequence
VDV 4 The free-kicks were poor, he failed to link with the team, and he got his usual booking
Defoe 3 Not in evidence

Gallas 6 Brought some composure but initially bemused by the total shambles
Crouch 3 No real idea but he sounded rather awful
Jenas 6 Seemed to do nothing wrong

Harry 2 This must be an historic low point

0 for Harry for playing Defoe in an away game and clearing asking our defenders to play it out from defence which they clearly were not comfortable with. Crouch or Pav need to start away games

Bleaugh. No one on our team deserves a rating for that, far too sloppy, completely anemic up front, terrible defending, really showed how weak we are when VDV and Bale are not playing or not at the heart of things. Dawson was uncharacteristically sloppy whilst BAE was atrociously casual and Bassong just looked out of his depth.

MOM was Dembele, he was exactly what we're missing. Strong, clever and determined. How come despite our burning need for a player like that up front since Berbatov left (6 transfer windows ago!) we still haven't bought one when Fulham got a player like that for just 5M or Kalinic went to Blackburn for not much more?

Daws MoM for me, saw that the FA Cup was a needless distraction for us this season with the league and CL so made sure we were knocked out in style, befitting our entertainers tag. :grin:

Apart from the penalty where he was caught out due to Dawsons awful pass, what did Hutton do so wrong today?

He shouldn't have jumped in, the guy was going nowhere, but apart from that he didn't look bad.

was one of a few players today that didn't give up, worked hard and was a threat on the attack. Dont remeber him getting done at the back much either :shrug:
