Apart from the penalty where he was caught out due to Dawsons awful pass, what did Hutton do so wrong today?

He shouldn't have jumped in, the guy was going nowhere, but apart from that he didn't look bad.

was one of a few players today that didn't give up, worked hard and was a threat on the attack. Dont remeber him getting done at the back much either

Completely agree, bad decision for the pen but other than that he did ok.

What would you have given him? Taking him off made things worse.
agreed he shoulda stayed on. wouldve been an idea to take off defoe and leave rafa up top. or take off rafa and switch lennon wide right. why punish sandro. he needs the fucking minutes:-|

WTF was that?

MOM the remains of the crowd who were still singing (supportive) songs at 90 minutes - and the 4th official for having the good grace to only add 1 minute of injury time:cry:

Worst 11 mins of football ive seen from one Centre Back.

Bassong was pony all game as well.

Defoe should NEVER start as a lone striker away from home. Wakey wakey Redknapp.

Modders and Pienaar (and JJ when he came on) credit for looking like they cared and trying to make a difference.

Lennon completely gave up when we went a few down. Really disappointed by his attitude.

Ho Hum, it literally doesn't get worse than this, so look on the bright side eh?

Well what a shit result that was eh? I said before the game to my dad I had a bad feeling about this game. Fulham are a good side who keep the ball well. But again dawson has cost us the game now hopefully the dawson lovers are starting to see how much of a libality he actually is.

I actually thought we started the game pretty well but as soon as they got the penalty that came from a sloppy dawson pass and then got the 2nd pentaly from dawson being too slow it changed the whole game completly we never looked up for it after that.

Take some positive's out of the game I thought Pienarr showed some nice touches and made a few good balls etc. Gomes made some good saves and nearly got to the Pen, if he had saved that pentaly things would of been different and we actually still played quite well 2nd half and passed the ball well but we deffo need a WORLD CLASS striker!!!

Gutting result and just hope it does not affect our performances in the PREM but now atleast we can concentrate more on that and Champions League!!

Where was palacois today?

Mancini said earlier in the season Bale was Tottenham.

He was wrong Bale And Modric make Tottenhem tick, ANyone notice how weve played since he start of Bales back problem. No Bale no threat, no Modic no drive.

Anyone think we need a top striker?

Harry see the light mate!!!!!!

Chewing over the carcass of that debacle at length is a futile exercise. So briefly;

Reddknapp's tactical naivety was evident from the off. Modric as holding midfielder ? The ever decreasing Defoe ahead of Pav or Crouch away ? Surely Redknapp has realised that Defoe leaves his bollocks in the dressing room at WHL ?

The game was then decided by Dawson, who followed last weeks leaden-footed fiasco with 11 minutes of pure Dawson dimwitted slapstick.

But...but...he's world class....but...but...we keep more clean sheets with Dawson...but...but...he's future England captain...

Penny fucking dropping yet lemmings ?

And when we go down to ten men, why the fuck take off Sandro ? Surely you take off Defoe, we still have VDV, Lennon, Modric, Pienaar to create/score, the last thing you need is a player who will touch the ball 3 times anyway.

We didn't deserve to beat Fulham in either home or away game, the outplayed us for big chunks of both, and most importantly the out grafted us, pressing much better than we do.

Second half we had a lot of ball, but that was because they were four up and sat back.

Ratings:

Redknapp 3

Dawson -12

Everyone else 5.

i watched both halves and some of the reactions and ratings on this thread are just stupid. grow a fucking backbone some of yous

JC, I am taking it with a pinch of salt, and that was reflected in my ratings :)omg: for all).
I actually think, much like the Pompey semi last year, it may be the kick up the jacksy the team needs as a bit of complacency was been creeping in of late. If I am right, it may actually be the spring-board to a good second half to the season.

I made Pienaar MOM for one reason, he was pushing forward (looking for a miracle, I think), but even in the 88th minute he was back by our goal line defedning and trying to put some order into the rest of the team to defend. That impressed me.

Other than that, I think if I was to be serious Modders would probably geta 6,and then there would be a lot of stolid 5s and 4.5s in there.

Sad thing is, I bet you were loving it when Dawson fucked up so you could come on here and act all smug about it.

One of the most twattishly patronising things, aimed at a large number of people who happen not to concur with your opinion, that I've ever read. Just as expected really.

thought modders and pienaar were the only ones trying
this.

Am starting to get very worried about JD btw. It's been a number of games now where he failed to make ANY impact really. Dawson was abysmal and Hutton proved again he's a defensive liability. (not only by causing the pen).
