Hudd 8 - Calming influence in the middle

Modric 9 - Little magician again

Bale 10 - How does he do that?

VDV 8 - Very good half

Crouch 8 - Caused lots of problems for Inter

Modric 11

Bale 50

Everyone else 10

total team effort with everyone completely committed. No complaints.

Obviously Bale was phenomenal, but I thought Modric had maybe his best match ever for us.

Cudicini 7 Didn't really have an awful lot to do, but apart from one slightly shaky moment in the first half did everything well and confidently. Didn't have any chance with Eto'o's goal, really.

Hutton 6.5 Sold himself a few times, and Inter looked to exploit him the most. Crossing was largely disappointing, but otherwise did well.
Kaboul 8
Gallas 8 The two centre backs were terrific. Positionally they were superb, and cut out so many attacks.
Assou-Ekotto 8 Absolutely solid. His was one of the most important performances as he managed to contain Inter's attack down that side which enabled Bale to attack so well.

Lennon 7 Hit and miss. Really got at Samuel and Chivu on occasions, but then at other times seemed to lack the confidence to really go at them. Crossing was largely average.
Huddlestone 7 Quiet by his standards in the Champions League so far, but never really looked uncomfortable. Protected the defence as well as trying to create.
Modric 9 Absolutely immense. Gave Inter all kinds of trouble picking him up, passed the ball intelligently, and his assist for van der Vaart was sublime.
Bale 9.5 I've never seen a full back as good as Maicon look so thoroughly petrified before. After half an hour he'd given up getting tight and gave Bale so much room. Work rate was superb, and two absolutely pin point crosses effectively won the game.
van der Vaart 8 Extremely well taken finish, link up play with Modric is getting better every game.

Crouch 7 Positionally you can't fault him, but should have done much better with the chance in the first half, either side footing a shot or setting up van der Vaart.

Jenas 7.5 I suppose the biggest credit you can give him is that he seemlessly replaced van der Vaart.
Pavlyuchenko 7.5 Usual Pavluchenko, didn't really do much but was in the right place to seal the win.
Palacios 7 Didn't have much time, but looked solid and gave a bit of extra security in the last 5 minutes

Woke up at 3:40am to watch this one in China. So happy I did as it was an absolute joy to watch and my boss is an Inter fan and may not hear the end of this when I call him later.

Up until that last absolute destructive passage from Bale, Modric would have been my pick for MOTM. I thought he was sensational and I can't think of many players in the world who can string play together like he did. It's coming off the back of two top performances in the league against Everton and Man Utd (where SC voted him MOTM), so it seems he really is finding his feet this season.

Bale of course is going to take all the headlines because he absolutely destroyed the player considered the best right back in the world and he caused him to not attack either. I thought the whole team was excellent throughout and it was a completely deserved victory.

Cudicini 8 - Good performance, assured and read the threats well to come out and deal with them.

Hutton 7 - A little shaky at times but Eto'o was consistently picking that part of the pitch to get the ball and that would give anyone a problem. Even if he was our weakest player on the night he was the best right back on the pitch.

BAE 8.5 - The guy is brilliant. Lanh will tell you he is the best left back we have had since YPL, but I think you have to go a hell of a lot further back than that

Gallas 8 - Starting to look match sharp now and put in an excellent performance. His partnership with Kaboul is really developing.

Kaboul 8.5 - A few wayward clearances but he made up for them every time. Towering, strong and mature.

Huddlestone 8 - Completely in control, marshalled his part of the pitch well and chose his passes well. The absence of Sneijder influence on this match is credit to the hard work from the midfield.

Modric 9.5 - I don't think that is over the top. He'd get a 10 from me if he could head the ball but I think that is asking a little much. His awareness is incredible, his ability to find space is really uncanny and Inter just could not find a way stop him pulling the strings.

Lennon 8 - Much better, he was committing players and that is exactly what he needs to do to get to the level he was at last year. Great outlet just needs to find the right balls for the right striker.

Bale 10 - What can I say about him that hasn't already been said? Complete freak of nature.

VdV 8 - Did a good job supporting Crouch and keeping the opposition defence busy. Get's himself into great areas and is always going to be a goal threat. Excellent finish on the end of a wonderful move. Hope he isn't too injured.

Crouch 8 - Good performance from Crouch, did exactly what was asked of him. He didn't get too pushed around by Samuel and Lucio and he was winning a lot of balls into the box. Could have perhaps done better with the first half chance but worked hard.

Jenas 8 - Worked really hard, was more sensible with his passing than against Utd. Impressive sub appearance.

Pav 7.5 - Got his goal, didn't do much else

Palacios 7 - Came on and helped keep it tight.

Overall just a great performance and a great night (morning) to be a Tottenham fan.

Can't possible not give Bale MOM,

But to put in performance like that, it took alot of top performances, from alot of our players.

For sheer inteligence and class, for me , Luka was the star man, he was absolutely running the game, inter could not match him.
Tommy played a really top unselfish role for the side, he sat in front of the back 4 and was superb all night.
Azza caused them problems all night too, bale has raised the bar,but azza was still playing well.
Gallas best game for us so far, kaboul too didn't let anyone down.
Hutton is never going to be a top RB, but got foward and wasn't bad.
Bae...best game for us yet, he has the talent, and lastnite delevered big time.
Carlo..looked really confident and steady, being ex-ac milan seemed to inspire him.
Crouch..made inter uncertain and did his job.
jj..i think he played well, did what harry asked.
pav.scored again and smiled alot.
Bale was simply unstoppable, nearly brought a tear to my eye watching him destroy the european champions.

We played at the right tempo, without being open, we were superb and i am so proud of them.

Harry got us fired up and is proving to be the best thing to happen to us for donkeys.
Don't be fooled by his del-boy imagine, we have a top boss in charge.

Cudicini 8 - Solid

Gallas 8 - Cool, solid - class

Kaboul 8 - A rock for 90 % of the time, though a couple of scares. Always recovered but he's not playing 100 % safe

Hutton 7 - Decent performance by Hutton, delivery is improving as well, seems to find Crouch quite well

BAE 9 - impeccable

Lennon 8 - A bit more confidence and he'll be back to his best. Good performance.

Hudd 8 - Not as involved as he can be but did an extremely important defensive job

Modric 9 - Before the third goal he was my man of the match. Extraordinary display from Luka, so confident calm, good vision, magnificent balance, never loses the ball. The assist to the opener was brilliant.

Bale 10 - With that last goal he just sealed a 10. Does he never get tired? Excellent, innovative runs and his last ball is almost always timed and delivered to perfection.

VDV 8 - There's only one Rafa. Another super display for the first 45, though can't compete with Bale, Modric or BAE today.

Crouch 8 - One of his best games for us. Held the ball up superbly against super strong opposition. Demonstrated why we should play to his strenght as a hold-up player - which are his feet, not his head. Got his goal, miss in the 1st half forgiven and forgotten

Jenas 7 - Silly dive, a few bad touches, but mostly solid

Pav 7 - He came, he saw, he scored

Palacios 7 - I'm sure he did ok ;)

Mods was simply stunning ,best I've ever seen him .9.5
Him and VDV are on a similar superstar mental plane .They are going to do incredible things together I reckon .

Agree with other ratings .

The whole team was massively motivated . Theres no way they'll be recognisable against Bolton. If we get a draw there I'll be delighted . Prem
thugs know how to stop this sort of magnificence .

To win in such a dazzling style recalls the very finest of Spurs traditions. I'm truly euphoric

Enjoy until the Prem comedown at the W/E

I have been a Spurs supporter all my life and conciously able to watch and know what's going on since the 1988 season.

In this time I have seen an FA Cup win and a Carling cup win on telly, a 5-1 destruction of the Arsenal at the Lane and a Carling cup win at Wembley.

The Man City away win to make CL football was something special.

But last night at the Lane, to beat and totally outclass the European champions (a team that had recently mauled us 4-0 in one half) is by far an away the best night and best game I have ever seen in my time as a Spurs fan.

To a man they played great, Crouch was frustating mainly due to his miss when he could have squared it to VDV (and I feared it my haunt us) but he made up for it by being in the right place at the right time.

Modric was immense, VDV was classy and took his goal superbly. Kaboul was a rock at the back, Lennon a constant threat.

Bale is looking like one of the worlds best a real superstar. He was man of the match hands down and he tore the Italian and European champions to shreads.

This is by far and away the most talented Tottenham side I have ever seen, a joy to watch at their best and last night was the best drive home from White Heart Lane ever for me :).

If we could add a world class striker to match the abilities of Bale, Modric and VDV we would really be a force in all competitions. Imagine if we had Torres for example, not that we should be taking away from the great work Crouch did last night but over the course of a season I'd rather have him as an option than first choice.

Cudicini 7 Did what he had to do, had little chance with the goal.

Hutton 6 Not his best showing since returning to the side, but did enough as it turns out. Let Eto'o go for the goal.
Kaboul 9 Immense on the night, very, very good.
Gallas 7 Slow to close Eto'o on the goal and left Hutton isolated by himself a couple of times, but other than that, a decent shift.
Assou-Ekotto 9 Absolutely superb. Didn't put a foot wrong for me, defended with composure and brilliance, attacked very well too.

Lennon 7 Crossing was poor, running was very good, he's still some way off his best, but going in the right direction.
Huddlestone 9 Superb shift from Thudd. Screened the defence superbly with great positioning and reading of the match. Tended to keep it simple with the passing, which is why I think his worth in the match has been overlooked by many.
Modric 9 MOM Ran the whole game from beginning to end against one of the best midfield's we'll see at the Lane this season.
Bale 8 Poor crossing for most of the match, which is frustrating because when he gets it right we usually score. 3 superb crosses, should have been 3 excellent goals, as it was there was two.
van der Vaart 8 Good again from him, some absolutely fantastic movement and the interplay between Modric and him at times is a joy to behold. He's having the same effect on us that Bergkamp had on those twats down the road.

Crouch 7.5 I thought he was pretty damn good today, which isn't something I ever thought I would say. Still absolutely awful in the air and still dodgy control, but his work-rate today can't be faulted.

Jenas 8 Great shift in what is perhaps his most natural role.
Pavlyuchenko 7 Bit reluctant to score 15 minutes worth of play, because it was only 15 minutes worth of play, but he harassed and harried Inter into their final submission after Eto'o scored, before delivering the final blow with authority.
Palacios Not enough time.

Basically everyone (bar one) played well, they worked hard, closed down, used the ball well and played one of the best games I have seen them play - AND against the European Champions to boot!

MOM for me was Bale, yes Modders played well, but without Bale last night, could have been a different game, he was a game changing player.

The only player I thought wasn't great was Hutton - again, good going forward (not brilliant crossing) but he gets turned easily, and was at fault for the goal IMO. he is basically the only player when he has the ball does not fill me with confidence, and also when attackers are up against him, I always feel there is a good chance they could get around him!

But what a night, should give us confidence that on our day WE CAN beat anyone!

This was a team performance last night so for that reason individual scores are not going to be forthcoming for me, because as a team, Spurs gave me one of my proudest moments in 30 years of supporting them.

Bale just shades MOM from Modric who was sublime last night.

For soem of you guys to single out Hutton as the worst player, (to single anyone out as the worst player last night is wrong in my opinion) is plain wrong. He was done by Eto'o, who is one of the best strikers in world football, yes, it hapens and happens to most defenders week in week out. Very harsh in my opinion. On this basis are we now saying that Maicon is now a crap defender, because Bale has made him look ordinary in 2 games?

So for me it was a wonderful team performance, thankyou Tottenham.

Cudicini 7.5 - did OK, but that free-kick save could change the whole game, used his experience to calm down his team-mates !
Hutton 7 - his crosses could be better but fought very hard, hardly give opponent a space to play.
Gallas 8 - may be questioned again for their goal, but fought very very hard, played his part and help for Kaboul.
Kaboul 9 - you can't get any better, excellent performance from Younes.
Ekotto 8 - Solid, worked hard as usual.
Huddlestone 8 - good game.
Modric 8.5 - played major role to connect the whole team with each other, very good game from Luka !
Lennon 7.5 - did his job well, threat them with his pace, i think he was reasonable for both Yellow cards for Sameul and Chivu ?
Bale 10 - Incredi-Bale !
VDV 7.5 - took his goal very well, Hero !
Crouch 8 - must score earlier but worked very hard, and deserved his goal.

Jenas 7 - decent job.
Pav 7 - not that much but sealed the game for us, +1.0 for his goal.
Palacios n/a - OK

Redknapp 8 - Nothing Wrong !
Fans 10 - they played their big advantage, if we produced 50% of that supporting during league games, we could win EPL ..
