I thought Rose was excellent. Hopefully, he was only taken off for precautionary reasons.

Lamela MOTM - hold up play was good all game and his work rate was fantastic tonight when the rest of the team fell asleep and then started panicking after the Villa goal.

Dembele was also excellent, we collapsed when Mason replaced him.

Lloris was really poor today, one of his worst games ever in a Spurs shirt I think. Distribution was often poor and he was caught in no man's land several times.

Bit of a tough game to give ratings for as it was basically:
1-75 minutes - We were in cruise control, Villa didn't show up.
75-90 minutes - We were all over the place, Villa looked dangerous.

Everyone will get a pretty good rating in those first 75 minutes because it was so easy, after that there were several players that did poorly.

I thought Walker was quite composed tonight. That one pass he made along the sideline under huge pressure from two villa players were a class. Previously he would've just kicked it away or back pass into a disaster. Big kudos to him.

We're looking sharp other than the odd silly mistake but it's a team of such youth I can almost forgive it. Look forward to seeing Son link up with lots of our players again. We have such a great blend of midfielders now, even Dembele is starting to look the part. We're just going to get better and better as long as we keep Kane fit. DM cover and a striker and we're sorted.

How many teams have actually outplayed us this season in the Prem? Even United were spawny as ever.

Agreed I thought that was walkers best performance for a long time ,my motm, Dier solid as a rock ,Lamela excellent also and we've got the Dawson 60yard diagonal back with Toby!

rose motm for me. up and down the pitch all night, making some excellent tackles throughout, and knowing that they would try and lump it into rudy, he was blocking like a beast.

shout to lamela who was really composed tonight, and especially in the last 10 under serious pressure.

hopefully we see onomah vs anderlecht. he doesnt have the style to let the team down. passes it calmly and has a burst of pace with neat control when needed, so looks like he is ready.

First half, as I said at half time, I thought he was superb and our best player by some distance. Second half he came out and had about four sloppy pieces of play in the first 5 mins. After that he did ok, but was one of those who I thought switched off a bit.

I thought the opposite I think rose is far better in the final third than he showed tonight.

Yes he runs a lot and gets in good positions he works very hard but his final ball was very poor, defencively I thought he made some bad choices he does not think sometimes. I am a rose fan but I think Davis has been unlucky to loose his spot.

I will admit I missed 15 minutes, but I think rose has a lot more to offer.

Average; Walker, Alli, Eriksen, fans (got behind team for the first time when they scored), Poch (felt we needed a second sub earlier)
Poor; Mason (harsh as not match fit but silly for their goal), Lloris

No standout performance but not shockers either. Decent all round and just enough to win.

I thought Dier was the MOTD when looking at the whole 90 minutes. He shielded the back four really well. Was a bit shaky in the time Villa scored, but so was the wohle team unfortunately. Lamela and the CBs also with good games. THought despite of his goal Alli had not his best day. Mason needs a start on Thursday to get up to speed.

To be honest I think we played at 30 percent in an attacking sense all game.
