One thing we seem to have a problem doing is putting the ball in front of a running Son or Moura. They always get the ball to feet standing still, or behind them when in a stride. This is killing momentum and also taking away the advantage of pace that these players have.

How do you put the ball in front of a running Son or Moura when the opposition sit with 10 men camped within their own third of the pitch for 90mins?

Answers on a postcard to M. Pochettino. Could really help us out for the next time...

Eriksen MotM.

Rose was our best player over the course of the game, but generally lacked end product (other than the one good attempt on goal). Hashed at a couple of shots and crosses.

You don't let Wanyama constantly shoot from 30 yards, that's for sure.

Your suggestion then?

didnt think we were that bad. Moura was the only one who looked uninspired. that game was played over 35 yards of pitch by 21 players - there wasnt much room for a lot of the things people said we should've been doing, in the end they screwed themselves because it was all the bodies that kept Ryan from seeing Eriksen's shot in time to save it.

Do you we think our GK coach will analyse that punch from Lloris when he could have easily caught it? That could have cost us. We are dealing in small margins

If you don't feel 100% confident you can clearly catch the ball then punch .
Only Hugo knows how he felt when that ball was coming at him, the speed, the players he saw , can only imagine the punch had the higher safety.
Better that than spill the catch

If he spills that catch we need a new keeper. Was a bread and butter ball.

I thought Danny Rose was brilliant tonight. Eriksen was also very good and was everywhere - Rose for me though
Rose has been immense since he returned to full fitness. He has quality, tenacity and is one aggressive little bastard. Really reminds me of Ashley Cole in terms of his sheer aggression.

Hes also really good on the ball. Hes on a different level to Davies.

The players are weak? Don’t be daft, the players may have struggled to get the result against a packed defence but the sheer will to try to break that door down and not give in until they had achieved just that showed anything but weakness.

Spurs of old draw that game, or even lose to a sucker punch after doing something desperate and getting punished by a counter. Last night’s players were bloody strong.
Couldn’t agree more. Too many times in the past we came unstuck when things constantly didn’t go our way. We kept plugging away last night, luckily Eriksen had the quality to deliver

I like the fact he gives a bit of shit, if only we had more players like that. His crossing is a bit shit but offers so much of an attacking outlet

His tackle yesterday on their counter attack was just great
