What goal?

The one that was ruled out, hence 'goal' not just goal

I thought Dele and Lloris were good.
We are still making too many errors defensively, but coped with most things.

I don't think having Davies and Doherty as fullbacks with your two wide forward players cutting in works.

Lloris 7

Doherty - 6 - I really have no understanding of why he is so hated
Sanchez - 8 - he is the best pure defender we have
Alderweireld - 7 - solid
Davies - 6 - consistent effort but not much more

Hobjerg - 8 - one of his better games from the last month
Ndombele - 7 - he is very good but didnt dominate

Bale - 7 - solid going forward and solid effort defensively
Alli - 6.5 - first half he worked very hard and played well, dropped off in the 2nd
Son - 7 - consistent effort, the less selfish he gets the better

Kane - 6 - efficient but he needs to work harder off the ball and create more mayhem

You can cut the words ‘with your two wide forward players cutting in’ from your last sentence and it’s still accurate

I don't think Doherty is hated, its just he is not playing good football at the moment. The long diagonal ball to his side was on all game.

Sanchez and Toby were our best players and have to be the main pairing going forward this season.

Doherty is so hated because he is a very, very very average footballer playing in the Premier league. He is literally good at nothing at all. He is slow, has no creativity, no eye for a pass, can't defend, can't beat a player, can't cross, not great in the air. He offers nothing and we look noticeably worse every time he plays. I've seriously played with much better players and the highest level I got to was semi-pro!

He's the worst player in our squad by some distance. Shocking.

Who would have thought MOTM would be between Dele, Sanchez, or Lamela in a League match in March? I'm glad some of our squad is stepping up to their talent level.

for me:

Lloris - 7 - not his best but he did look more assured with crosses than previously

Doherty - 4 - have to think it's not just skill with this guy, he never looks fit or on the front foot. That said he was actually pretty decent in the last 30 minutes.
Sanchez -7.5 - he was very good, but that clearance was not assured at all and should have been a goal. Still though he's clearly growing in confidence and his pace helps us in every passage of the game. 1st choice center half until further notice.
Toby - 7.5 - he and Sanchez work well together, and he was fearless. Passing was lacklustre in the 2nd half though and I wish he would really lay into players a bit more
Davies - 6 - not bad but his lack of pace and regressed passing ability really limits us.

Hojbjerg - 8 - imperious first half. He's easily the best pressing player we have. However he is not the calming metronome in midfield we need and was chasing the ball a lot in the second half
N'Dombele - 6 - not his best, he seems to have to want the ball to get it. In situations like the 2nd half we really need to iron out some passages of play centered around him to keep possession

Son - 7 - good, great with space in front of him, hard working. still though he is not really a possession footballer
Bale - 6.5 - great work for Dele's goal, tried hard, not his best day overall
Dele - 7.5 - great work rate and pleased he was able to get a goal (even if eventually ruled an OG)

Kane - 6 - he played like he was shattered which is a worrying sign. easy misses and numerous times he ran into half-shooting/half-passing positions. his timing and killer instinct are both lacking. Never thought I'd say this about Kane but needs a proper goal.

Sissoko - he doesn't help us at all as a sub really. he actually catalyzes more of the same chase/hoof/defend passages of play from us.
Lucas - ^^^ he's been good recently but he does not 'want' the ball and turns it over so cheaply.
Lamela - excellent. I can't wait for Lo Celso to get back and see them together shithousing to protect a lead.

People judging subjective ratings boils my piss.

I‘ll even ignore your double negative.
Subjective is judging it over a set period of time. I didn’t rate Lamela an 8 because he didn’t deserve an 8. Fairly subjective.

I only watched the second half and were were poor. Fulham had more possession and could have had a goal, but even when they were better they didn't have the quality to create consistently.
Lamela was our best offensive player in the second half.
Can't really give ratings because if its just off 2nd half no one deserves more than a 7.

Subjective has no relation to time.

I mean, going by what you said...
No he didn’t. And he wasn’t an 8. Unless it’s a sliding scale that everyone starts On 10 and goes down. Point for every 10 minutes they do something wrong. Pathetic. Yeah he done alright. But he was a 6. He created no chances. Had no shots on target. And made no key passes. So what did he get an 8 for. Running abaaat a bit??

...Did you even watch the game?

cant say anyone was individually poor but as a team we were pretty bad 2nd half. Sanchez MOTM for me, followed by Dele.

thats the front four I want to see, btw. Hope JM gives them a run of games together to let them gel. Kane and Dele are so good at switching spots - it didnt result in a goal today but it will.

Toby class, can't believe Dier ever started over him, even though his past his best, still 10000x better

You have a strange view of football, a lot of the time it's about momentum and pressure, Lamela came on and alleviated a lot of pressure on our goal, and allowed for an attacking outlet, and shift in momentum. A great through ball to Harry, and his mazy stepovers in the corner an example, as well as his high-intensity pressure to push us up the pitch as a collective. It's undeniable the sub made for a change in the game pattern (Mourinho even alluded to it), and without we most likely would have conceded.
