But this is the Premier League mate, one of Europe's elite competitions, you cant afford to 'give someone a go' to see if they are any good. I cannot fathom and I'm pretty sure that BC is winding me up on purposely how people can even utter such rubbish as 'he is as good as Walker defensively/he is a better footballer'. It's just nonsense. Walker is a 22 year old, hard working England International. Naughton is 25, and has never stood out at any level that he has ever played at. He wasn't even that good at Norwich.

People keep saying RB is his position, but he has played as much at LB as he has at right back. He's not good enough to make that position his own. Even against Coventry he was ok but nothing special, if that was him trying to take his opportunity in his favoured position then Christ, I'd rather use a kid from our U17s.

That's fair enough SB and i'm not saying that deploying Naughton at RB will transform him into late nineties Cafu but what I am concerned about are the same fundamental mistakes being made by Walker in practically every game and I really don't think he will ever live up to the hype which surrounded him when he won the YPOTY at Villa.

Right now you sound like someone who is telling others what is the best way to fish, but has never caught a single fish ever.

That's pretty rich coming from you mate.

And I caught a lovely Mirror Carp last year which broke my PB.

Lloris - 6.5 - did well as sweeper keeper. Did not have much to do, but his kicking worries me. So left footed.
Walker - 6.0 - gets forward but offers no real options and does not go forward intelligently. Crossing was poor as was his corners. Was at fault for the goal. Needs to improve defensively most importantly.
Dawson - 7 - dealt with everything well. Made a couple of sloppy passes though.
Caulker - 6.5 - clumsy challenge on Rooney, but no real mistakes other than that.
Naughton - 6.5 - left the whole left side open for cleverly to pick out van persie. Does not support the left hand side with bale, but was left exposed most of the game due to a lack of support from Bale.
Parker - 7 - worked his nuts off. What I think he needs to do is become more disciplined in his role. Runs around following the ball most of the time and knackers himself out. Needs to be more controlled as to when to press. That should be it for him. I don't want to see him in the penalty box trying to score. Needs to sit back and let Dembele push the team forward IMO.
Dembele - 7 - classy player. Never known a player who can change direction on the ball so easily. Would like to see him a bit further forward, but he really works hard to gain possession and can pick out incisive forward passes.
Bale 6.5 - lazy defensively and did not really get going until the game got stretched in the second half.
Lennon 8.5 - great spell of form. Tore Evra a new one and was dangerous all th eBay through. Set up deuce!
Defoe 6.5 - frustrating game. Fairly certain eventually he would have scored, but does not have the intelligence to sometimes look up and spot another player.
Dempsey - 7 - worked a lot harder than Defoe IMO and got his reward. Useful player and honest.

Then he wins the argument on whether Kyle Naughton is good or not.
Well my dad also thinks Kyle Walker is a waste of space. To be honest he thinks most players couldn't shine a light to those in the 60s but he has a real hatred for full backs that cant defend. hah.

He quite likes Kyle Naughton though.

I do not agree Kyle Walker's shit that's an over the top statement, and people are easily swayed towards the standard quotes about Walker popping up lately....still only 21.

I think he had such a good season last season expectation went through the roof. For me Walker has all the raw talents to develop into an international right back with more coaching (AVB) and experience he'll become much more polished.

There was a time people slated Theo Walcott (probably still do) his just an athlete etc but for me his one of the most improved strikers in the league and has gone up another notch. Leighton Baines is another example player at Wigan now Everton as the raw talents were there for all to see and has now grown into a classy left back...I reckon in time Walker will be classy.

I reckon we should give him time by the age of (25-26)
