Thought everyone worked hard tonight. Wouldn’t criticise a single player as it’s only the 3rd game of the season after a WC.
Lucas motm but Toby was a fucking rock at the back and bringing the ball out.

First 35 mins I could take 2 off everyone's score but eventually we calmed down and played well. Once we were 2-0 up we managed the game well under pressure.

It's weird. I don't think we attacked very well but had about six/seven great chances. I don't think we defended particularly well either but their best two chances were created by us. We've played better than this in big games before (Liverpool away, Chelsea away + FA Cup semi two years ago spring to mind) and not gotten wins.
Poch made a great change towards the end of the half putting Alli in the 10 role and putting Eriksen a bit deeper. We couldn't pass out the ball from the very well and went long often, so Alli's running over Eriksen made a big difference. He wasted a good chance but go into good position a few more times where he wasn't picked out.
The change he made to start the second was even more vital. We kept trying to play the ball into the channels as they're wingbacks were pushing up onto our fullbacks, but their back three were dealing with it well. To start the seond we had the two centre forwards and Alli go up against their three, and Eriksen made delayed runs into the space behind Shaw. I think we got the corner from this (need to see it again) that lead to the first, but we definitely got the second from it.
Lloris 8 - Couple of great saves and dealt with set-pieces really well.
Trippier 5 - Really poor defending and not the usual attack threat from open play, some down to the tactics of both teams.
Vertonghen 8 - Really good.
Alderweireld 9 - Even better.
Rose 6 - Use of the ball was terrible. Defended well for most of the match. Can actually trust him in one-on-ones and to try to block crosses.
Dier 5 - So slow at everything. They created three chances due to his unwillingness to close down the ball just outside our box.
Dembele 6 - A mixed bag. Overplayed it too much and was part of a midfield that couldn't keep the ball very well. Some of it was tactical, but some of it was not looking for it too.
Alli 7 - Probably will get stick for messing up good chances, but defended well and created two of the chances himself. Much better when he's played higher up the pitch
Eriksen 6 - Not his best, but great play for the second.
Kane 6 - Didn't hold onto particularly well and try to do the spectacular too much in the first half. Great header but should have had too. Worked hard.
Lucas 9 - Two great goals, should have had a penalty and might have had another when Alli got in late in the first half. Worked hard.

Great result. I fkin hate Maureen with a passion so over the moon.
Did not enjoy 1st half I have to say. To be honest both teams seemed to be doing their upmost to give the opposition the ball in and around their respective goal areas. Was doing my nut in.
I thought Eriksen was very quiet tonight so unusual for us to get a good result when he's off form.

I think it’s brilliant that we won that game 3-0. But I don’t think we were brilliant across the park. But that’s almost why I’m happier than I usually am. Winning 3-0 at OT not playing that well.
We could’ve been 2 or 3 down by half time.
But hanging in there and then being so utterly clinical: fucking yes.

Don't think he played well in first half but he was rock solid in second, I always feel much more comfortable with Dembele in the team in these tough away games and don't believe he's dead yet. Put him on ice now till the next big tough game.

Lloris was very good, made some vital saves and did well not to bring down Lukaku when he was rounded. Top performance after a difficult week.
Trippier was okay but no more, Shaw got around him a lot. Nice pass to Eriksen though to make the first Lucas goal.
Alderweireld was very good, strong and composed. Some great reading of the game tonight.
Vertonghen made a few good blocks and generally controlled Lukaku.
Rose started off poorly and nearly set up Lukaku but he grew into it and showed a bit more of his old tenacity as the game progressed.
Dier was poor, and I’ve liked him this season. The centre backs were not protected enough and too much came down our middle needlessly.
Dembele started off poorly, chasing the game, but he eventually got a foothold and showed Pogba how to run a midfield. Masterful at times.
Lucas was wonderful, just wonderful. Off the ball his endeavour and pressing was superb, on the ball he was only positive and creative. Yes, it doesn’t always come off but you’d always back him to make something happen. Two lovely goals.
Dele lacked a bit of composure at vital moments but he worked his arse off, closed everything down and kept finding himself in dangerous areas. Continued this vein of nature performances.
Eriksen’s radar is still a bit off, but most of our okay still goes through him. He definitely has yet to fire on all cylinders this season but he’s always proving and moving. Lovely pass for Lucas.
Kane wasn’t as involved as I’d like but he dropped back well in the second half after a quiet first, scored a beautiful hanging header and played a nice ball for Moura’s third.
Davies, Aurier, and Winks all just came on and kept shape.

Dele worked his bollocks off but should’ve had at least one goal. Kane got better as game went on, amazing goal.
If you think about it, Kane’s missed piss-easy header, the penalty we never got, Dele’s miss after the shit backpass, Lucas fuck up for the easy one two back to Dele when he was in on goal, Dele’s lack of composure in the first half when through on goal.... we could’ve had fucking 8! They should’ve scored definitely one, maybe two, but that’s it despite their first half dominance. Therefore in my mind we won 8-1. We fucked them.
