Winks for me. Worked hard and got the ball forward a lot. Took his goal really well and showed composure certain others lacked. Another outrageous goal from Ndombele - hope he keeps it up v Liverpool.

Happy that Winks, Bale, Lucas had good games, we could use them in better form. Ndombele was class but that was to be expected, he is now of the most consistent players in the team. Hojbjerg, Son, Kane, Toby good like always.

Called Winks MOTM before Tangy scored the 4th. So will stick with that.

happy with the all round we kept plugging away and got the score line we deserved in the end. I do wonder if we hadn’t of bought on our big guns if we would still have won convincingly. As they were tiring badly. But suppose we couldn’t take the risk.
Onwards!!

Didn't think we were ever going to get the 2nd goal. Credit to Winks for the calm finish.

Was pleased with Bale's performance, thought that was the most attacking intent we have seen from him since he returned. His shooting was off for sure but a lot better signs I felt today.

Ndombele class again. MOTM.

Bale was the driving force behind the majority of our attacks before the big boys came on.

Ndombele is just too good. It's unfair to have him against lower league opposition.

Most concerning thing for me is Son keeping up his run of poor finishing. He got a few let offs from me in previous games but it's starting to get worrying that it's now getting to a bit of a habit him missing chances you'd have bet your life on him scoring.

Winks much better when he passes forward. Took the goal well.

Vini disappointing but he'll learn from a tough game like tonight.

Hart: 7 - Fine

Tanganga: 5 - Rusty and look short of confidence. Couple of terrible first touches there too.
Sanchez: 6 - Usual (i.e. some good, some bad). Nowhere for the goal, which could have been two from a corner where he left his man unmarked for a free header.
Toby: 6 - Struggled against the big guys up front.
Davies: 7 - Solid.

Winks: 6 - Started well with some good runs and incisive passing... and then disappeared. Good goal at the end.
Sissoko: 6 - Meh
Lamela: 7 - Focus of our play. Looked sharp considering his lack of game time recently.

Bale: 7 - Probably the best we've seen him this season - running, passing, beating his man, opening up space. Hurrah. Could have had a hat-trick.
Vinicius: 6 - Sod all service. Unlucky to be hooked for Kane, but you can't blame Jose as it was 1-1.
Lucas: 7 - Sharp. Good game.

Subs:

PEH: 7 - Shored us up in midfield. Really needs an able deputy.
Kane: 7 - Direct and sharp.
Son: 7 - As above.
Ndombele: 8 - Farking legend.

Between winksy and Tanguy for me.
Ndombele was so happy, I saw of his video arriving at Adams park stadium dancing, I am so glad we got him to sign a 6 year contract now.
What a talent.

Sissoko certainly not Man of the match, but deserves a mention. Jose placed Sissoko as RB to do a job. Most of the opposition threat was coming down their left wing. He moved Sissoko to RB and it all but stopped. Its clear that despite Sissoko being a bit low on flair, having a woeful shot....... he is one of Jose's most trusted players. Its not that he is a great tackler, however he positions well, fills up a lot of space on the field and concentrates. I worried about Tanganga positioning and concentration.

Don't think Winks was close of being man of the match. He had his moments, he had some good passing, but also some incredible poor and him and Sissoko basically could not create anything really as a CM. It was still an okay performance.

I am not sure if I should give the MOTM to Ndombele, Bale or Kane. Bale had his moments all game but he should have done better in some situations. Kane immediately improved us despite not scoring or assisting. He was a threat and won free kicks and corners and made good runs.
Tanguy did very well in the end, felt though he took some time to influence the match and had his best moments when the game was basically decided. Still very promising.

I choose Gareth.

Bit confused as to why Sanchez is getting hammered but Toby is getting off scot free when in reality it was the latter that was getting man handled by their big striker. Toby got too tight in the first half and was being repeatedly beaten for strength which led to their goal.

Neither Toby nor Dave were particularly good or bad but Sanchez doesn't deserve the criticism over Toby IMO. Both equally average. Personally think Rodon can take that CB slot beside Dier if he maintains his levels.

Overall I enjoyed the game from start to finish. We played well and whilst it was close for a long time, that was only because we weren't taking our chances. The score wasn't harsh on Wycombe either. They fought well for 45 and then bent until they broke in the 2nd half. After that their resolve was gone and we put 4 goals past them which was about right based on the number of chances we had.

Winks was excellent and is clearly developing his game. I think he's learning from Hojbjerg.
Sissoko did a great job for the team. Big and strong, unlucky not to score and get an assist after Son blazed over.
Lucas was excellent first half and whilst you dont want him starting in the league, he's the perfect second 11 player as his speed and skill is often too much for lesser teams. Very good assist.
Bale was positive and determined. Showed signs of his old pace. Good goal, just needs to refine his finishing and final ball. Signs of life for sure.
Lamela worked hard, things didn't come off for him. Bit rusty maybe.
Vinicius put effort in but came up short last night. Shame as these are the games he needs to take control of.
