You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Haven't seen the match so can't give a definitive, but always great to see that Son steps up when we need him, such a great player.

Thought Son was very quiet for large parts but can understand him getting motm with the game decider, i gave it to verts as on another day he could have 5 assists and our defence had a clean sheet for a change

I’ve gone for Sanchez. I thought he was excellent today. A display of good defending throughout.

I went for the big man again, Rondon is a pain in the arse and I thought he handled him very well, passed it well and gave them something to think about in their box.

Eriksen was abysmal. Played like he was drunk.

Absolute stinker.

.

Eriksen didn't sparkle going forward but when it's not going for you, a top player digs in, and I feel he did that.
Do you recall Eriksen chasing back into our box and twice blocking what could have been a Newcastle goal that would have put us behind going in at half time?

His all round play was poor. Atrocious control, even simple passes not coming off. He needs to step up in games like this especially with Kane and Alli out but he was the worst player. Thank god it’s been Son stepping up for us.

Sanchez is significantly better on the left side of the defence, Alder is also much much better on the right, why it took Poch so long to see that I'll never know. Winks superb again.

Just back from game, yeah Winks and Sanchez were our two best performers.

Sissoko and Jan also decent.

Hadn't seen Lamela live before. Thought he was mixed, some nice stuff but then he holds onto the ball a bit too long at times, one moment in the first half encapsulated that - moment was lost.

But my daughter was buzzing when Son scored, her first Spurs match!!!

If you're talking about when he tried to set Moura through, He, Eriksen and Son were all offside the entire time hence why he took so long.

Yeah I did wonder that, but still thought there was an opportunity to pass first time before they were, possibly wrong though.

Yeah they showed the replay they were all offside from the moment he got the ball, he tried to hold it up but none of them did enough to get back onside, newcastle back line did well.

Harry Winks absolutely brilliant. Sniffed out their attacking efforts and drove us forward.

Sanchez also coped with the challenge of Rondon very well.

Plus great to have Sonny back of course.

All good except Moura struggled to make an impact.

Happy with everyone today. Eriksen and Moura could have done a bit more, but oh well.

Eriksen had a far better second half, much more effective with his passing. Was brutally bad in the first half, hasn't went missing in a while to be fair to him.

Gave it to Sanchez but Winks played well also.

We look so much more slick through the middle third of the pitch when Winks plays at the base of the midfield, opposed to when Dier starts there . Don't get me wrong, Dier isn't a bad player and certainly has his uses against better sides but a little bit of me died every time I saw his name on the team sheet against relegation fodder.

Lloris (along with others) deserves a shout out too, he made a great save to stop us going 1 down and swept up intelligently to spurn a couple Newcastle chances. If we're going to hound him when he makes the occasional fuck up we should also praise him when he has a good game.

Winks gets MOTM for me, thought he had a fantastic game.

Shout out to Son, who understandably looked knackered but still stepped up for the goal.

Sanchez was brilliant as well and had the physically imposing Rondon in his back pocket.

Eriksen was the only real disappointment today. Thought he was really poor.
