If we play 80% of the second half defending in our own half, by the law of averages they will equalize to negate our 1 goal lead, f**king common sense!

If you play too close to or brush any of their players, especially Zaha, they are going to go down, f**king common sense!

If you leave it to last minute to try and get another goal to win, odds are you wont, f**king common sense!

So considering we were guilty of all the above we were not going to win this match and therefore show that we have no f**king common sense!

Now we have to go and beat Liverpool to get things back on track.

Really really poor in the second half. Midfield completely lost control - actually think we got better after GLC came on but then almost immediately conceded a sloppy goal from a set-piece.

Hopefully this is like the West Ham game and will teach us the lesson that we cannot, under any circumstances, sit on a one goal lead in the Prem. Anything can happen.

MOTM definitely Guaita but from our side Kane was good when he managed to get it.

Thought Dier and Reguilon were really wasteful on the ball, and Bergwijn was much of the same (tidy, hard-working but utterly devoid of any creative spark or end product).

Hojbjerg just about MOM. But average score of our players was probably a '6'. Very meh overall. Mourinho a '5 'for letting us defend so deep for an hour against a team adept at winning free kicks and being dangerous from subsequent set pieces. As disappointing as the Newcastle game, and definitely 2 points dropped rather than a tough away point won. Cannot help but feel that if we'd tried like we did for the last 10 minutes we would have won by 3 or 4.

A touch of calm and rationality well said. This should be my opening post but as you can tell, I am so pissed off!

Hard to rate like last week, and the week before.
Opponents have all the ball.

Based on the first half an hour though holjbjerg , Kane and sissoko were pretty neat

Poor.
Son
Reguilon
Dier
Sissoko
SB
Lloris (due to equaliser)
Everyone else varying degrees of average.

I would have given it to Hojbjerg if we had won, but Kane was the only forward constantly threaten their goal & was unlucky not to have at least 2 on the day & their keeper made some great saves. Son ran, but didn't really do anything & SB simply ran, but with the ball he was poor.

I just cant blame the players for this - I thought Sissoko and PHE played well as did Aurier and Toby - Jose needs to reconsider how he does things

Today - We let them attack us, inviting pressure. Poor tactics.

Last few matches - We let them attack us, absorbing the pressure. Brilliant tactics.

Make up your mind, SCers.

it's understandable against the others but why are we backing off against palace to that degree? when we conceded and decided to start playing again we looked like we could score but by then it was too late.

If their keeper hadn't had a worldy, how Jose sent us out to play would have resulted in a comfortable win. And the players deciding to stop playing is surely on them?

I‘m just really, really gutted.

A draw against Palace is not a bad result, on the face of it. Dig a little deeper and it’s incredibly frustrating.

The game was there for the taking. The insistence on sitting back, giving away needless free-kicks in our defensive third, and being so careless in possession (in between the two goals) absolutely killed us.
