after Kane's last 2 performances I'm starting to think he is having some sleepless nights, because he looks less energetic this last 2 weeks than he did when struggling at the start.

He's just had a week in Barcelona with the rest of the squad.

And that fucking hack by Rodwell was a red card all day long.
If someone kicks a player off the ball they're red carded for violent conduct. That was off the ball. The ball was closer to Newcastle than Sunderland. And he took a wild swipe. A Red all day and twice on Sunday.

In the grand scheme of things we got pretty lucky tonight, Arsenal losing at home to Watford, Chelsea and Liverpool drawing, yes we could have made more ground on all of them but on a night when we didn't win at least we didn't lose any ground on any of them and actually gained a point on Arsenal.

Doesn't make me feel any better or optimistic about fighting up to the summit. That was a tragic display.

the thing that annoyed me tonight was on 3 or 4 occasions Dembele had the chance to shift and hit it. I know going by his past he doesn't have many goals for us, but he does have a good left peg on him.t.
I agree with this as well! I was willing him to shoot

Attack showed up expecting to win today. Son the only one to show real effort. Wanyama or Dembele my MOTM. What happened to pressing from the front? Not a sign of it anywhere.
It's a pity he can't control a football. He needs to work incessantly on that until he improves. Really hinders his game.

N'Dong was really good for them. Dembele still did his thing, but N'Dong made it difficult for our midfield.

Silly name though.

Penis.

Vorm - 7 nothing to do so a 7 for standing there

Rose - 7 looked fine while on

Toby - 7 no mistakes

Dier - 7 Ditto

Walker - 7+ 2nd best player for us tonight

Son - 6 created some chances and then wasted them

Dembele - 7.5 MOTM for me

Ericksen - 5.5 poor

Alli - 3 won a free kick and that was it

Wanyama - 7 did his thing

Kane - 6 not at the races

Davies - 6.5 that shot at the end had me screaming expletives

Sissoko - no rating but I still dont know what he does

Vinnie - NET

Frustrating game to watch. Sunderland set out to defend and the ref let the physical play go for the most part. Alli/Ericksen were poor which left Kane on his own and Son running in circles on the wing. And the kicker is we really dont have anyone on the bench to come in and make a difference. Opportunity lost tonight.

Kaboul Motm for scoring a great free kick against Arsenal

Indeed, I think Vorm, the CBs and Dembele did ok. Sometimes you cannot blame your CB for not scoring goals and no significant performance because your opponent parks the bus
Difference being is that a Chelsea would of gone there last night and won maybe 1/2 nil and found a way of getting through or round a banked defence.
We have had this issue for a while now and will get sorted once the right calibre of player is brought in to solve these problems, other than that we are doing as well as to be expected.

Not a great performance all round - was a tough cold, wet night in the north east and we just were pretty wasteful with the chances we did create for ourselves.

Other results all went in our favour though and its weird to feel a little deflated when we are 2nd in the table.

The worry for me and I expect ,many others , is Harry Kane's form . Its been a patchy season by his standards . Yesterday he was only marginally involved . Last minute Eriksen corner.....who is busting a gut to get his head on the ball ??.....Dier .

Someone speculated it could be lack of sleep with a newborn . If that speculation is anywhere near the mark (Trippier mentioned this prob earlier this season) then surely 100k /week buys solutions .

He's just had a week in Barcelona with the rest of the squad.

They had 3 nights away, he could still of had 7 nights of disrupted sleep. Very slow and lack of involvement last night, the same against Man City.

I feel with a name like that he owes it to himself to be involved in the production of strong pornograpghy.
The same goes for the name 'Dirk'.

However you dress it up, sissoko is sadly not a 30 Mil football player.

I don't want to bash him but these are the nights where your subs make a difference and it was clear that poch had no faith in his bench.
