Something is really wrong with your reasoning if you can prefer Sigs to the likes of Townsend, Llamela & Co

I've got big hopes for Lamela, but as for Chadli or Townsend, well I'll be somewhat surprised if they have better career than Siggy.

Why the Chadli hate when Lennon had a complete stinker?!

Completely ineffectual, wasteful in possession and for some strange reason kept drifting inside leaving no options out wide until Walker reached play.

The only good thing he did was the build up in the first goal - that's yer lot!

Dawson comes in for plenty of stick and I'm certainly no fan but he did well today bar the penalty non-decision and very much Chiriches who mopped up everything on the deck and was much better aerially than in previous games.

Eriksen and Adebayor the two standouts and both key cogs going forward in which we need to build our team around. Also credit again to Bentaleb who is proving a very useful member now and will undoubtedly come in handy when we have to juggle league and European matches.

Dodgy first half hour and could have been a different story.
Credit to Tim, the players are definitely playing for him.
Clever Naughton sub. Easy in the end.

Lloris........7+.....Sound as a Euro. Maybe even sounder at the current exchange rate.
Walker......7.......Wing half (for our older viewers)might be his position.
Dawson... .7-.....From unpickable to almost undroppable.Almost I said
Chiriches...7.......Good football brain. Not always connected to his legs.
Rose.........6.......If only he could cross and shoot. Niggly git at times.
Dembele....7-......(-) for not scoring or passing to Ade. at 2-0
Bentaleb....6.......Better in the second half. Bit porous in the first.
Eriksen.......8.......Growing by the game. Not in height obviously.
Lennon.......6-.... Assist for the og and the Eriksen cross. Not much else.
Chadli........6+.....Did his share of the work. Nothing startling. Good squadie.
Ade...........8+.....When he's good he's very very good....however.

Naughton....6.......Reliable at his best position.
Siggy.........6+.......Another decent squadie

Fairly good performance. 7 for most other than rose a 6, Dembele a 6 as went missing for half the game and not passing to Ade cost us a goal (that is as bad as a defensive slip up that leads to us conceding in my opinion). Ade and Eriksen 8.5 as they were fantastic.

I can tell Chiriches is the flavour of the month and Dawson yet again can do no right in some people's eyes. Don't get me wrong Chiriches was excellent on the ball, but he gifted a chance to both Shelvey and Bony in the first half with poor defending. If that was Dawson he would be getting 4 ratings on here. Both were poor in the opening 30 minutes, but got much better as the game went on.

Despite that I thought we were very good after the first 30 minutes. We are playing much more entertaining football and Sherwood dispelled the myth he has no flexibility in his approach despite not even being in charge of 10 games yet.

because lennon at least occasionally contributes to our performances, chadli hasn't done anything and just looks like a nothing player.

Lennon has been great recently, but today was not a good one for him.

Regarding Chadli, he did ok....just because someone doesn't stand out doesn't mean they havn't been competent - with their passing, positioning and work rate.

I think he needs a run of games, like the others, before we see the real deal.

He's a different player and needs a run of games in his preferred position to get his confidence up but he gets slated far too much for my liking.

He does need to do more, just like Soldado but I think both will play their parts well in the second half of this season.

Dawson 7 - best game for a while despite that ludicrous decision to dive into a tackle just before our first goal

Are you kidding? He was awful. That was the worst moment but it was so typical of him to do something risky when there was simply no need.

We were lucky not to concede a penalty, thanks to his blatant shove during a corner, and he seemingly gifted them a free header during another attack. He was second best almost all the time.

What about the goal? He was all over the place, but so was everyone.

Great is a huge exaggeration mate - Adebayor has been great, Lennon has been at his inconsistent best.

I wasn't referring to the Arsenal game and first half against Palace which were poor team performances. I was referring more to the Stoke and United games, in which he was very good. So no, its not a huge exaggeration in terms of those games but overall you'd class it as inconsistent looking at the last couple of games, still thinks he gets a rough ride even when he does perform though.

Adebayor has been better than great, he's been exceptional under Sherwood overall.

Talismanic!

As long as we can keep him fit and motivated, he can be as important for us finishing top 4 as Suarez is for Liverpool.

Was thinking exactly the same as soon as our game finished. He's key, without a doubt.

What's pleasing is that we are getting a strong supporting cast back with Vertonghen, Sandro, Paulinho and Townsend along with Eriksen who is really getting into a groove and can be our architect going forward.

Optimistically or not but I think Lamela will also have a big impact before the season is out when we probably least expect him too.

Lloris 7 Normal stuff
Walker 7 Worked hard.
Dawson 7 Did well against Bony with not much cover in front.
Chiriches 7 Mixed bag. Still gets on the wrong side of his man from time to time, but awesome tackler.
Rose 6 Didn't do enough going forward
Bentaleb 7 Neat and tidy. Porous in first half but kept going.
Dembele 6 Normal stuff. Still doesn't know when to shoot/pass.
Lennon 5,5 Too narrow, but was probably told to play that way
Eriksen 8.5 Made everything happen.
Chadli 5.5 Anonymous.
Adebayor 8 Showing what he's capable of.

Lloris:7-Made a few decent saves to prevent Swansea from taking the lead, made a vital interception in the opening minutes and could do nothing to keep out bony's goal.
Walker:7-Was always alert and aware of danger and was also a threat going forward. Also put in a good cross to cause Chico to put it in his own net.
Dawson:6.5-Lost a few battles with bony in the first half and could have been more careful with his passing at times, but had a much better second half, winning a couple of aerial battle's and retained possession a few times for us.
Chiriches:8.5- Another great performance from Vlad. Covered Rose and Dawson well, didn't allow the opponents any space, and moved with the ball splendidly.
Rose:6.5- Was leaving a gap at left back in the first half, allowing the time and space to harm us. Provided a nice assist to Adebayor's second goal. In the second half he was better.
Bentaleb:7-Kept the ball quite well and all of his 10 tackles were successful which is terrific. Has to be careful with his positioning at times but overall is looking like a very talented lad.
Dembele:7.5-Dribbled past players as if they weren't there as always, moved the ball accurately, and looks to be forming a good partnership with Bentaleb. The only wrong thing he did was not passing to Adebayor when his shot went just wide before going 3-0 up.All in all, he is performing well consistently.
Lennon:5.5-Worst player on the pitch.Gave the ball away cheaply. Didn't put in a single cross or shot. Very poor performance.
Chadli:6-Was very quiet. Had a sitter in the first half and didn't get it on target. Helped Rose defensively but expected more from him.
Eriksen:9-Provided a splendid cross to assist Adebayor in the opener.Looked very skillful and was showing the vision he can offer to open up defenses. He was involved in every attack we had.Looks to be the player we've been missing and will be a very important player if we are to qualify for the champions league.
Adebayor:9-He ran all over the pitch, showed massive workrate and determination. Both of his goals showed that he is an experienced players and that he knows where a striker needs to be positioned. He was always at the right place at the right time. He is a true game changer.
Siggurdson:5.5-Was very quiet but great to see him back.
Naughton:6-He looked composed and linked up well with walker.

Sherwood:9-Very brave decision to change formation but thankfully paid off. He got his tactics right, and he deserves credit to continue to show faith in Bentaleb and Adebayor.

Lloris 6.5 good game, smothered attacks as usual and made good saves when required

Walker 6.5 better in attack than recently and worked quite effectively as a winger after Naughton came on

Dawson 7 despite what the usual suspects have written, he was very good today, save the near-penalty - not only showed great anticipation in defence, but passed constructively and even creatively

Chiriches 6.5 good game

Rose 6.5 gets an extra half point for his precise assist - looks much more secure with Chadli in front of him, as opposed to the drifting Eriksen

Bentaleb 7.5 keeps impressing in every game - he's remarkably good at making himself available for the possession-retaining pass and then he very rarely gives the ball away - most of our relentless ball-winning and disruption of Swansea's possession was down to Bentaleb winning the ball with tackles and interceptions

Dembélé 6 solid and capable, if unspectacular - loses a half point for depriving Adebayor of a near-certain goal through greed and bad judgment

Lennon 6 often uninspired, but still got a half-assist - found acres of space behind Swansea's very sloppy and positionally unsound left back, but only a few times did anything productive with it - and defended less than usual, although this was largely because very few Swansea attacks came down his side

Chadli 6 underrated by many again - he makes our left side look much more secure and he was in position to score two goals, if the ball had not gone Adebayor's way instead

Eriksen 8 knitted everything together with creativity, energy, excellent passing and a superb cross for the first goal - this is the player we thought we were getting

Adebayor 8.5 MotM display (again) all over the pitch, doing all of the things that he does so well when he is so motivated and finishing twice with confidence and precision

Sigurdsson 6 played solidly and laid on a good pass to start the move for the third goal

Naughton 6 worked well with Walker and did his usual competent job (when he's on the right)
