Don't wanna be too harsh on Eriksen as he's been good this season, think it was just an off night for him. Maybe the slight tactical tweak of playing with 2 strikers had an effect on him, no idea but he weren't at the races today. Hopefully he's back to his best at the weekend.

Also Real put work into him giving Sissoko space which worked a treat. Eriksen will only get better. Future bodes well

I'm satisfied with the result, very disappointed with Eriksen.

Form is temporary,class is permanent.
Let's enjoy a great result when most neutrals (and some Spurs fans) wouldn't have given us a chance of getting anything
away against the reigning CL champions. (y)

I need to lay down after that, my nerves can’t take anymore. Should see the wife laughing at me saying “you do know they can’t hear you...”:LOL::LOL:

We have gone up a level tonight.

Lloris, awesome
Dier, Verts and Toby solid as you like.
Winks went in against some genuinely great midfielders and showed he can get to that level.
Sissoko getting better all the time.
Aurier showed some exciting glimpses, pen aside. Llorente an exciting new tactical option
Eriksen and Kane a little quiet and should have maybe scored but who cares, love them both so much.

Pochettino, a tactical lord.

Ok so you hate Sanchez, we get it

Special mention for Harry Winks. My word I’m so happy he’s English. That was top class.

amazing to think he only broke into the side barely a year ago. Now he's playing like that in the Bernabeau like he belongs. So pleased for him

Excellent result and very good performance.felt we had to weather the storm first 15mins of both halfs and then grew into the game everyone played there part but want to give a special mention to dier.positional he was surperb tonight.always on the cover, always in the right place.also thought sanchez and winks were great when you consider their ages and experience.eriksen was the only dissapointment and that more because you know hes better than that.

Just saw the APOEL-Dortmund goals. Horrendous mistake by Burki for APOEL's leader. Really shocking keeping.

Dortmund also missed two ridiculously massive chances at 1-1.

Good for us.

Now you see it!

I did say it was going to be a slow burner for people to actually realise that he is an asset to this team, he just needed more game time and confidence.

Certainly seems that way, he has grown over the last few weeks, made a few mistakes but it is evident he is getting better and better.

However, tonight, he went from slightly improving to looking like the player we paid all that money for, I honestly think Winks should start the next game as well, after that performance tonight I see no reason why he shouldn't, was fantastic.

I think this result will give us massive confidence playing against any side in the PL even at Wembley, it's one of those results that the buzz you get from it can be enough to carry you for months, honestly if I was Poch I wouldn't know who to start, thinking about how many we have out injured as well and the quality we have to come back must be a huge selection headache.

I think Vertonghen was honestly the glue that held it all together tonight though, it was his maturity that really set the tone for the entire squad.

Whereas they strolled to a 7-0...

Think we'll be fine as it's on Sunday. Plenty of recovery time.

Hope so but I think the players will be quite tired. I doubt they'll get much sleep tonight if they fly back and the adrenaline. But thankfully it's Tuesday and not Wednesday. Plus they've got to fly back further.

He does OK sometimes but I'm not wholly convinced. If everyone's fit he probably wouldn't get on our bench.

I'm coming out of the closet - I love Harry Winks.
A great team performance - we had as many chances as they did.
Fantastico.

Yeah it being Tuesday-Sunday is the only reason I'm not that worried. Even with a wired night tonight they should be able to recover well enough in time, plus it's a shorter flight but not sure how much that matters.

Hugo Lloris put the club through to the next rounds.
Perfect match, perfect plan, perfect Winks, perfect Vertonghen and perfect Lloris. Crap refereeing, and to the ManC supporter who stole my umbrella from the pub on the way home, Team Kane is coming for your team mates you fuckwit.

It's amazing to think we just managed that without our full first 11. Squad wise with Rose back we are going to press on in the league as well now. We just need Wanyama, Lamela and Dembele back and the league title is on imo.
Right now, it's hard to pick our first 11. Maybe Dembele will play more of a holding role after these injuries, meaning we can play both him and Winks together? Also, Alli or Son? Tough one.
Lloris
Toby Sanchez Verts
Aurier Winks Dembele Rose
Eriksen Kane Son

Bench: Vorm Trippier Davies Dier Wanyama Alli Llorente
