realistic jan signing to make difference??

well according to dutch and belgian reports we now have agreed a 12 million fee with ajax for jan vertonghen which wud be a great move. clearly that game tonight showed gallas and especially bassong are not up to stratch. time catching up on gallas imo but he was immense last season in many games and his experience is good to have around but we def need a signing like this in january

The dutch media who's reporting the transfer is doing so referring to The People:

"Tottenham Hotspur is vastbesloten om Jan Vertonghen in januari aan te trekken. Dat meldt de Engelse The People. De Londense club zou circa 12 miljoen euro over hebben voor de aanvoerder van Ajax"

Roughly translated:

"Tottenham Hotspur are determined to attract Jen Vertonghen in January, according to the English The People. The London club will have to pay c:a 12 million euro for the Ajax defender."
