Reserve squad for Chelsea game tonight

January signing and recent first-team debutant Chris Gunter has been named in the squad for tonight’s first reserve game of 2008 at home to Chelsea.


The 18-year-old Welsh full-back played in last week’s FA Cup Third Round replay win over Reading but is cup-tied for tomorrow night's Carling Cup semi-final second leg against Arsenal.

New Academy goalkeeper Oscar Jansson also makes the squad after his debut for the Under-18s against Bristol City at the weekend.

He is joined by a host of our FA Youth Cup stars, including fourth round penalty hero David Hutton.

Development coach Clive Allen said: "It's been a while since our last fixture, we've had a couple of weeks' good training and I sense the lads are determined to get going again.
"We've had some good games against Chelsea and this is another important one, it's basically the start of the second half of the season for us."

The full squad is as follows: Forecast, Jansson, Gunter, Dervite, Martin, Hughton, Routledge, Livermore, Rose, Hutton, Pekhart, Dawkins, Riley, C Butcher, Hutchins, Townsend, Obika.

The match kicks off at 7pm at Leyton Orient FC.

I saw a post on FTL saying that if you call Sky you can get Chelsea TV for a month and it includes this game tonight. No idea if it's true.

Quite a strong squad, including Danny Rose. Will be good to see how Devite is coming along as well.

I was giving it serious consideration :grin:.

Nearest tube is Leyton on the Central Line. I use the Jubilee or London Overground to Stratford and change there. Or find your own way to the Central Line and get off at Leyton.

Right out of the tube station, cross over and walk down the High Street. Left down Buckingham Road and then right on Oliver Road to the stadium. Only the stand in Oliver Road is open.

Thanks for the text heads-up Dougal. I got as far as Stratford and then performed the move of the night as I expertly ran off the train, touched my Oyster Card on the pad and then jumped back on the same train to come all the way home.

I hope WHL has better drainage.

I never said I had you on my ignore list. I told someone else that they can add you to theirs! I like to read all the drivel here, even yours!

In all honestly I have thought you are a bit of an idiot for ages, but when you gave me negative rep for saying we wont sell bent and wrote "You are a racist homophobic piece of shit" - it just made me realise that although I will read what you write I will just assume you are "special".

I don't mean that as an insult by the way, it is just my opinion.
