its absolute nonsense, it contradicts everything either club are trying to do or can do. Liverpool cant afford 20 million and we are not interested in any strikers at the moment. If that transfer happened we would pretty much change our entire strikeforce, why would we do that?

Ramos appears to like a team that has the capabilities of playing very quick counter attacking football. The acquisition of Modric, Dos Santos and Hutton illustrate this. Keane for all his ball skill, has little pace and maybe Ramos feels that he does not fit into the system he wants to play next year.

Err...you can play quick, fast, counter-attacking football without an entire team of Linford Christie's...what you cannot do, is play that football without players of great skill, touch and vision. Robbie most certainly suits the latter parameters, and ask yourself this, if you were the manager, what would possess you to sell one half of one of the Prem's very best strike-partnerships without being forced to?

It's 2+5 type bollocks, all because Keano once said he was a Liverpool fan as a kid.
I expect no-one to officially deny it as it's such a non-starter in real terms. Not denying that some shit-stirrer/agent hasn't watched Benitez's despicable poaching of Barry via a sustained drip campaign of rumor and innuendo and thought the same could be suggested of Keano, but it will not happen IMHO.

Combine that with the new defence in Jan, along with a keeper and the midfield purchases we have and will make. We would need to put names on the front of the shirts so they know who they are passing to.

I really hope that Keano stays. An incredibly good player. Underrated by far too many Spurs fans. He was my player of last season.

However, what really winds me up is people slating Peter Crouch so much. Yes, he looks like a baby giraffe when he plays. Yes, he's a journeyman player who has been on the books with loads of crap clubs. But he's a very, very good player. The season before last he scored a hatrick against Arsenal (left foot, right foot, header). How many players do we have who have scored hat-tricks against The Arse? He took a while to settle at Liverpool but looked excellent for them the season before last (not his fault Torres joined and Benitez decided to play with one up front) and his goalscoring record for England is incredible.

Sometimes I think Spurs fans would rather have a stylish but useless player than a really good player who just happens to look clumsy.

Talksport are talking like its a done deal. If Keano leaves us I will be gutted. It would be a betrayal by both player and the club that will be second only to the Scumbell fiasco.

Crouch good??? He's got no pace, he isn't going to unlock a defence with great footballing mind coz he doesn't have 1, he's one of the worst headers on the ball ever, brings back memories of the big lanky bloke (francis?) that used to play for birmingham, he's crap!

i'm getting worried. Talksport were one of the first to say santos would be joining us and said ages ago about Ronaldo wanting to move to real with the player agreeing terms before the champions league final which also seems to be the case

I don't care if we improve the keeper and the midifeld - losing keane who has improved season after season would be a nightmare. I am certain Ramos sees him as an integral part of the team and although keane may not mind going to liverpool if the club say no i doubt he would go public and put his relationship with everyone associated with the club at risk. After king and gardner he is our longest serving current play in our squad. The board should know that they will really piss us off f they sold him. Only a swap for either torres or gerrard would ease the loss

THATS WHY HES STAYING WHERE HE IS.I WAS WELL HAPPY THE FIRST TIME WE SOLD HIM.

It's up to you of course, but seriously you shouldn't be getting worried about something that has so far been carried only by the NOTW and Talkshite and dismissed as utter nonsense by Dan and storts.

I'm very reassured this won't happen - I want RK to stay as long as he's happy to stay and JR wants him

but can we get one thing clear - Crouch is far far better in the air than Keane - if you want to talk about one of the worst headers of the ball ever, then Keane is a long long way in front of Crouch for that particular honour

Crouch can't even jump in the penalty area without putting his arms on defenders shoulders and climbing up.

In terms of strikers. I'd prefer it if Keane were bigger and was effective in the air. If we can replace Keane with someone that has these qualities (along with all of Keanes positive attributes then I wouldn't be so upset with this signing.) I'm not sure how he'd fit into the Liverpool formation, therefore I wouldn't be as worried as him moving to liverpool (as opposed to a team like Everton.)

Is Diego Milito good enough to replace Keane?

That's as maybe TCO :) but he's still much much better in the air than Keane - I can't think of one top striker in the Prem that's worse than Keane in the air - even JD is better and he's another one nowhere near as good as Crouch in the air
