Seems weird but I guess he must know how many players want to leave and is thinking "fuck that!"
Le Tissier's career included the first 10 years of the Prem, so he should know that the average player's loyalty goes no further than looking after number one.Former Southampton and England forward Matt le Tissier said he was "disappointed" and "quite surprised" at Koeman's decision to leave, particularly with Saints playing in the Europa League next season.
"He may feel he has got a better chance of winning trophies at Everton. I'd be of a slightly different opinion," Le Tissier told BBC Sport. "I understand they've got a new owner and want to splash a bit of cash, but it might not be as easy a job as he thinks.
"Most clubs in the Premier League are pretty wealthy now and can compete in the transfer market. We just have to move on and look to the next man to take us forward again.
"The players' loyalty lies with the football club and hopefully they will kick us on again next season."

I was also surprised when it first appeared in the news. Everton finished below them, have a creaking stadium, a recent history of poor recruitment and a lack of investment. Southampton on the other hand look on the way up and have been willing to spend a bit (as well as sell a lot).If Southampton are happy to keep selling their players every year they aren't going to keep an ambitious manager for very long. I'm still quite surprised to see him go to Everton, but I guess they are one of the bigger second tier sides in the league.
Just goes to show Southampton's ambition more than anything. If they managed to keep the core of their players from 2013 and even Poch they'd be seriously pushing us and Liverpool for a top four spot by now.

We've seen ourselves it is difficult to keep players once their head has been turned.
If Liverpool bid for one of our players it's unlikely they would want to leave. I'm talking about now so the Keane example is not valid. But a Southamption player would see this as a big step up.
We couldn't keep our players away from Real Madrid, not our fault just like it's not Southampton's fault when they sell their player to bigger clubs.
