Danny Rose has refused to leave Tottenham on deadline day after Daniel Levy tried to sell him to Watford. Spurs have been willing to listen to offers for the left-back all summer and chairman Levy has worked to engineer a last-gasp transfer to Vicarage Road.

I don't think we have been trying to sell rose.

We gave him time off when we went on the tour to find a new club, but have we been trying to find him a club?

That's his agents job. If he wanted to go.

so pleased great news

isnt this a transfer thread?
as mentioned below
This was in my alerts -”Your thread Danny stays was deleted. Reason: Again we don’t have transfer threads in Spurs Chat while the ITK forums are open”

More fucking bullshit.

Headline: "[Rose] refuses to leave after Levy tries to sell him in deadline-day drama"

Story: "Rose has been in talks with Watford today after they tabled an offer for him. "

So he didn't "refuse to leave" at all. He went to talk terms with Watford and didn't like what he heard, so he exercised his right not to sign for a club he didn't want to join.

But does he want to go?
Seems there is an understanding he can go, and that he isn't getting a new contract.

I'm happy for him to be our LB this season again. Gives Sessegnon time to settle into the squad.

To the right club probably. Just think the clubs he'd be interested in aren't interested in him.

But that would be a really boring headline. I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t click on it.

David Matzdorf blows the lid off sensational Danny Rose debacle.

Its like when you first discover ebay and literally start selling everything in your house because youve got carried away.

Totally if the offers were good today we would have gotten rid of rose, and aurier to add to Tripp and not replaced.

I mean he did refuse to leave. And Levy did try to sell him.

Rose is a fabulous defender, with good attacking instincts. I suspect the issue is that he doesn't really know what he wants in life. I imagine Spurs have decided let him find out for himself (I doubt he can be told) that the Grass is not always Greener. Of course media seeking headlines distort and sensationalise the situation.

I for one hope he has had a look around...and realised he is onto a good thing at Tottenham. The clubs at the very top can only go downwards you cant stay at the summit forever (e.g. Barcelona). Spurs, however, are at the stage in the cycle where they have a chance of scaling the giddy heights - its an exciting prospect.

Rose can and should be part of this. Likeable as they are, Watford would have been a retrograde step for him.

Im wondering what his agent is advising, and whether the advice tends to push Rose into situations where the agent stands to benefit?
