He will get chances in our team and will score goals. He can cover for Ade. Decent signing.

surely he wouldn't expect to play that much, so if he stayed fit, he would be Enthusiastic to play his part for us after such difficult period with less-quality team, with all respect to Everton FC and their fans.

he would work hard more than Pav, who used to only dangerous when the ball play into his feet inside the box, who was unhappy with his rule at the club.

if Saha can do something when he plays, play a bit something like Adebayor, then it would prove good business by Harry Redknapp and Daniel Levy, since the fact he is only less wages and £8m at least from the sale of the striker who is 3rd in pecking order.

so let's be all positive, and hopes he would be like Sir Les Ferdinand in his last full season with us !

If Everton with their lack of resources are willing to let Saha go, then that sends out some alarm bells to me. But at least he will work much harder than Pav did.

Let's be honest, Everton have a pretty good back 5, but anywhere from the half-way line forward they have struggled for a while. Even if it is just coming on for 20-30 minutes at the end of each game, I think that Saha will act as great cover for Ade. He can hold up the ball well, he's strong, intelligent, and he finishes better than Ade. He might not have the legs to beat a player to a loose ball anymore, but swing a couple of balls in to the box and I'm sure you'll see the results.

At the end of the day, even if we get 5 league goals back from him between now and the end of the season I'll consider the signing a success. That coupled with his hold-up play is why I'm much more enthusiastic about seeing him come on for 20 minutes at the end of a game than I have been with Pav this season.

Pure meh in front of goal and you have to wonder why Everton and United both let him go for free despite still having valid contracts with both.

That said, if we have basically decided that our play revolves around everybody but the striker getting goals, then I guess he's a decent signing. I haven't seen him holding the ball up and being a fucking nuisance any time recently though.

I would imagine that the earlier negative posters regarding Saha are now eating a huge slice of humble pie.
Although some, like GreenLily, just never seem to learn.

Any person who watches him play cant doubt his ability, its that simple and even at his age he has a lot of pace. So many people base their opinions on players seeing them only in highlights or when they play against us, its so infuriating. Parker had the same doubters when its obvious he is qaulity, so did Ade, OMG some people on here dont rate VdV. Its impossibe to argue with stupidity .

Man U only let him go because of his injuires, they loved him there from what I have heard. You cannot judge a forward on what he does at Everton, they are used as a target end of, look at the little Argie he is working so hard to get in the games simply because he is so iccolated. We need to see more of the same from Saha and keep him injury free before we can classify him as a huge success, IMO if we keep him fit he will do very well.

Laurent Blanc must have been impressed - Saha has been recalled to the France squad for this week's friendly.

One swallow doesn't make a summer.. Or something. But I do hope we get the best of him for the rest of the season.
