I think we should buy him for £6m, give him a 4 year contract and sell him for £15m in the summer just to wind Peace up.
23 goals in 105 games is crap. Poor attitude for club paying his wages. Huge no. He cant even get in west broms side in the minute. 4 in 31 last season. Get leko from west brom instead imo
Fair point. I had forgotten that!West Brom have changed owners since we last bid for Berahino.
When you say games you mean appearances, like you say he doesn't get picked so doesn't play many "games".23 goals in 105 games is crap. Poor attitude for club paying his wages. Huge no. He cant even get in west broms side in the minute. 4 in 31 last season. Get leko from west brom instead imo

Yet we have always slagged off levy for selling our stars. How we wishes we had turned down bids and kept them, even if they went for a lower price. We were annoyed but hats off to Peace, he did what he thought was right for his club and wouldn't be bullied by usMakes you realise what a plonker Peace was to turn down the money in the first place. Stoke also bid big on him and it all came to nothing. Now he has an unhappy player with 6months on his deal worth a fraction of what he could have sold for.
Fantastic way to step up to Levy there Jeremy.

We offered 23 million for berahino which I think was a fair price, so ultimately it was peace's ego that cost them in the end.Don't get me wrong, you can't fault him for doing what he felt was right for his club but in my opinion, not only did he make the wrong call given the money on the table AND more importantly the attitude of the player and desire to leave - but he also got too caught up in trying to make a name for himself in the process. Ultimately his actions could cost his club £20m in fees.
Nobody wants their team to sell their best players but if they do, they want to ensure that they get a fair price for them. His ego cost his club the chance to do that.

Like the look of that !!Lloris
Dier Alderweireld Vertonghen
Walker Eriksen Wanyama Dele Rose
Kane Berahino
Well if you believe what was said at the time that Pulis didn't actually want SB and was happy for him to be sold, then it looks like Peace just wanted to beat Levy at his own game and failed monumentally.Yet we have always slagged off levy for selling our stars. I wonder how much of a coincidence it is that Peace has now stepped down. Perhaps not so much directly because of his refusal to sell to us at the time, but because he then failed to do so the window afterwards before his value really started to go downhill. Maybe its to do with Berahino, maybe it isn't, but it does at least smell a bit..........Well if you believe what was said at the time that Pulis didn't actually want SB and was happy for him to be sold, then it looks like Peace just wanted to beat Levy at his own game and failed monumentally.
Keeping a player that doesn't want to be there and the manager doesn't really want to use, is hardly right for the club, especially in light of £25m bids. (of which they will now receive a fraction)
