This is never going to happen I do hope we don't waste the last week of this window trying to do a deal with that plank Pearce

For him again to stitch the player and levy up

I think this could very much happen. They won't recieve 18 mill bids in the summer with 12 Months to go. We may need to give them time to use the funds though

Will be interesting if we managed to get the Townsend cash up front. That could be used as a tool to get Berahino seeing as they kicked off about staggered payments. £15m straight and few add ons.

Would also explain why the links are coming out a day after the sale was confirmed...

We thought that in the summer though. And as you say, leaving until the last minute gives Peace the excuse to say it was left too late.

Can only see it ending one way. It's Groundhog Day again I'm afraid.

Maybe one last bid tommorow or thursday and if no joy still then switch targets, at least there will be a couple of days to sort out someone rather than last day madness.

maybe its not about the money for WBA....maybe Peace feels having SB to call on to help a relegation battle is worth more than circa £20M?.

Possibly. I'm not sure they are in relegation battle though and hasn't been used yet this season, not as if we are taking someone out there first team

I think Poch's statement about a new striker having to be a good guy was a statement that he did not want Berahino anywhere near his training sessions.

I'm not sure Peace is going to let him leave at all. It seems to be above money to him. I wouldn't be surprised if berahino gets made to see out his contract. Their chairman is a nutter.

How is SB helping, he barely starts a game for them. I think Peace made an absolute clusterf*** of this whole thing.

Probably. But could also of been us using the bad publicity he's had at WB since the summer to our advantage and trying to drive the price down due to supposed question marks over his character - operative word being supposed of course, and we're playing on it.

I love the way you are clinging on to a tiny thread of hope still :)
