silly wages for a bloke who is aging rapidly
People age at a somewhat constant rate, for example, between 31 and 32 you would expect a year to pass, the same with 32 to 33 or 21 to 22, so on and so forth… IF you are celebrating your 30th Birthday followed by your 35th the next year, I hate to break it to you, but you are doing it wrong...

Isn't there a lot of mystery surrounding his age? I wouldn't be surprised if he's nearer 40. Anyway he's not good enough for us now however old he is

There was a story earlier this year that he was actually born in 1974 not 1981!! Mourinho made a joke about it, and Eto'o was none too pleased......

cant see it. wont he be off to the african nations cup?
Exactly. We'd only have 2 strikers for a huge chunk of the season, whether he signed or not. I wouldn't be surprised if we get someone in next window, to cover for Adebayor during the ANC.

I could see no way that we would sign Eto'o at 33 (or 35 or 39 whatever his age is) and make him the highest paid player on the squad and realistically he would minimally be behind Ade and Soldado and possibly could be behind Kane in the pecking order. If he was younger and a clear cut starter maybe but not at his age and declining ability.

This story is his agent using Spurs to try and see if he can get someone to become interested enough to make an offer...

really can't see that being true. Although his name has cropped up more than once in articles including us this summer.

Remember when there was a serious rumor that he had told ziege he would be joining us after the 2002 World Cup?
