Top signing. Just the player we need in the middle. Now just a few strikers, and perhaps Steven Pienaar.

It being nailed on is a lot different to being done. Done is when a player has signed for us. He could be a decent signing for us, but I'd be sad to see him get in the team ahead of JJ or Hudd. The top end of the pitch is where we're having problems, we need at least one striker, with Keane going that looks a cert.

Also can't see Woodgate to West Ham, last time Harry talked about Woodgate, he was delighted with his progress and was hoping for him to play for us this season.

I do like Parker but he is not what we need. Lets focus on trying to get that world-class striker before another very good centre mid.

Bar the registration paperwork which can't be processed obviously, it's done. Regarding woody, I can only imagine that it's better to risk his progress there than here and it's a sweetener in the deal? Honestly I don't know, but as for Parker, it's done!

A waste of money? A waste of money?

Relegating West Ham in one simple move... how is that possibly a waste of money?

I cant see us keeping:

Modric, Jenas, Hudd, Palacios, Sandro, O'hara, Krancjar, Vdv, GDS, Lennon, Bale, Bently and maybe Parker happy.

Infact just looking at that list its insane how many midfield players we have. We would have 7 good central midfield players for 2-3 spots. No need.

Striker please, lets not waste our money on a player who has always excelled in shitty teams where he is the big fish in the small pond and then when playing alongside players of a better standard shows himself to be a player who lacks guile and real class.

I still reckon that he had a get out in the contract he signed in the Summer, if West Ham were bottom or something probably.

West Ham do need money and the two owners are not stupid, they will not try to stay in the Prem at all costs they know there is life after relegation and so they may have decided that they are going down and that it's time to start the rebuild.

The other alternative is that this comes directly from Harry so it could be a load of old cods:)

I could see O'Hara going the other way if this happens, assuming he recovers from injury...?

O'Hara and Giovani will almost definitely be sold as soon as, in my opinion. Jenas, Palacios and Bentley will most likely be allowed to leave as soon as a sufficient offer is received. Possibly Kranjcar too.

I'm kind of surprised at such negative outlook on this potential transfer and people saying he's not what we need. He's exactly what we need. He's got the grit and determination to take a game by the scruff of the neck and propel his team forward. He's not the kind of player who'd let Birmingham get back into the game after going 1-0 up, for instance.

Behind Modric, I'd rate him up with Huddlestone as our second best central midfielder. If we can bring him in and shift O'Hara in the other direction, I think it'd be a fantastic piece of business.

It would be a fantastic peice of buisness if we get him at a reasonable price but it his fee were to take a chunk out of our budget for the striker we desperately lack then its a terrible peice of buisness. We NEED a new striker. We however dont NEED a new CM, although he would be handy and he is a decent player. Hes not of the standard I personally feel we should be after.

No problems with this at all, Parker has been outstanding all season for West Ham and he deserves a chance to play in the champions league unlike when he was at Chelsea!

Good signing, but shouldn't have been priority number one...unless we've got something lined up for up top already?

Has Harry even said he's after a striker?

Spoke to Harry Friday and although it's old hat in regards of the press doing the story, I can confirm Scott Parker will definitely sign for Spurs. I think we might let them loan a player or two from us although that has no bearing on the deal. If woodgate gets fit, it might be him that turns up at upton parkistan.

Thank for sharing the info ryantegan, Parker would add some much needed steel in midfield. him and Modric would be great. hudd could then take a back seat.

£8m is what some of the press are saying. They too are saying that it is a done deal and during commentary of the spammers game yesterday there was some passing comment made about him playing his last month in a spammers shirt

parker is better than jenas

parker is better than wilson whose form is very alarming

parker is not cup tied so can play in champions league

he chips in with couple of goals something jenas and wilson are not able to do.

he gives 120% every game for such a shit side shows his character

totaly no brainer and cheaper option than diarra

Can you actually give more than 100%?

Sorry, meant to start that with " my boss spoke to Harry" he said it is a "nailed on done deal" my boss is a hammer btw and he is pissed about it.
